They might just be a bit complacent, DG also used to have a sizeable advantage over Holmgren head to head, he's lost some of that the last two years but still he knows him pretty well.
I think if we could sneak a win out there it'd be huge.
Evil Ash said:Also needs to be mentioned that they (Seahawks) are playing a good Giants team after the game with us. They could overlook us easily
blindseyed said:Won't happen. No way. The Hawks are pissed that they couldn't execute and Holmgren is gonna have them fired up to put on a woopin for their home opener. We can NOT play like we did or Alexander will have 125 yrds before the half
Evil Ash said:Never say never. I'm not saying that its likely but it could easily happen
Most of the stuff that that went wrong today is very fixable

blindseyed said:I wouldn't say 'easily' fixable. Our D got shredded and our O-line is not very good. They have alot of work ahead of 'em.
Another team, maybe, but Holmgren will not let the team overlook us, especially after us winning. Plus you gotta consider it's their home opener. I have a feeling we're gonna get their "A" game

Evil Ash said:Our D got shredded because they didn't stay disciplined and not going for fakes as well as missed tackles.
Missed tackles - Fixable
Penalties (that were the main reason the 9ers were in the game) - VERY FixableNot overcommitting on fakes - a little tougher to fix in the span of a week but still fixable
Our Oline was starting a guy at RT that signed with the team this week.
People were expecting midseason form on the first game of the season. It doesn't work that way, in fact if you looked at the majority of the games they were won rather ugly
As far as the Seahawks I'm not saying its likely but it is human nature to overlook a team that they feel is worse then them especially right before playing a much tougher opponent.
Shane H said:No excuse for missed tackles and it obviously isnt fixable. It has been a problem of this D for awhile going back to last season.
Penalties isnt just first game jitters etc..... Its also a sign of being undisciplined and bad coaching. Both things we have seen before under this staff.
As fas as the OL? Well they could have kept Bridges or started Gorin. They havebeen here longer right? Does that mean it would have been better based on length of time with the team?
Evil Ash said:They are both fixable if the coach puts an emphasis on tackling, however thats up to him and Pendergast to do that. We don't know (not even with your hatred for Green making you jump to conclusions)
They have been here longer but Gorin getting worked by Denver's backup DE isn't exactly a way to help make the statement of keeping his job. Bridges isn't good at all
He made the right decision IMO but its not going to work immediately as much as we want it to.
Shane H said:Hatred for green? NO. Its called stating the obvious. If you want to give him a free pass for problems that constantly happen under his watch thats fine. But dont say thats hate by me. The talent here is undoubtedly better. So it must be coaching. Im basing the OL comments on you saying its a time factor. Do you think that all of a sudden this team is going to just start making most of their tackles?
Correct Bridges was garbage.Evil Ash said:They are both fixable if the coach puts an emphasis on tackling, however thats up to him and Pendergast to do that. We don't know (not even with your hatred for Green making you jump to conclusions)
