I like him too and hope he stays healthy but the text I received said,"good player, soup for brains, concussions."

And that's when I asked about him in round 4. Worth the gamble in round 6.

Yeah my buddy who are Dolphin fans were dying for him in 4th. Hes a definite name guy. Love his speed. LOVE the value in the 6th. Especially at a position we have depth and a star.

Watch I bet this guy is our version of TY Hilton this year....

2nd fastest wr only to ASFN's flavor of the year, Tavon Austin. He's a
Burner and plays in the middle, which explains why he sustained four concussions in college. Huge injury risk, but we needed the guy with top-end speed.

People talk about Swope's speed...felt he was a lot like Wes Welker doing a couple of his college games. Quick in the slot, reliable hands

Watch the tapes bud. He runs a 4.3 but is know for YAC which is the irony. Dude is tough as nails. LOL its the 6th round and we got the guy on cover of NCAA next year. This is a GREAT pick as was Taylor, as was Okeafor.

BOOM killing this draft. Can we get Matt Scott with next 6th???

He converted from running back to WR, and one of his best assets from day 1 as a WR is what he does after he makes the catch. He made so many big plays for the Ags in that situation. And, once he is in the clear he doesn't get caught from behind.

Which makes sense. We have 3 legit starting tackles IMO so why keep adding to a strength unless its an ELITE guy which Quissenberry is not.

You mean like Ryan Swope? :D

I was sort of referring to talk that Massie or Potter or both would move to Guard and Arian's reference that the Oline wasn't as bad as reported. So I've been watching to see if we took a T.

Which is something I've said for years. It was Grimm and the constant shuffling that caused our Oline to be among the worst in the NFL.

The good thing is Swope won't be an every down player and likely only a deep threat-type WR which will limit the number of hits he's exposed to.

Of course this is a complete assault on the position of Fitz's best friend on the team. I wonder what Andre thinks of this pick.

Personally, I can't imagine this guy ever beating him out as our 3rd WR.

I don't expect him to see the field much this year.

Right off the bat he is stuck behind Fitz, Roberts, and Floyd. Not to mention Housler.

Polian:

Swope is a quick starter who can stretch the field quickly. As a slot receiver, he is fearless working the middle the field and shows great focus in traffic. Swope needs some polish as a route-runner, and has small hands which can result in a few drops. He also brings versatility as a punt returner, though he does have a history of concussions.

Conference Call:

Ryan Swope called concussions minor and he has no concerns about the future. Noted he never missed a college game because of head injury.

Didnt get the whole concusion talk, considering he never actually missed a game?

Also this kid is a gamer. Showed up big against big teams.

Take a look at his stat line 4 games in a row against LSU, Auburn, Miss St, and Alabama. Ridiculous.

Mort was saying alot of teams took him of their board entirely because of the concussion issue. There's something to it. Hopefully, he stays healthy in the NFL. With all the conscussion problems lately, he'll be constantly monitored. Something I doubt was very stringent in college.

Thrilled. Everything Tayvon Austin is, but at much, much greater value.

Fans are going to love this kid.

Very happy that we were smart enough to spend a 6th on this guy instead of a 1st on Tavon "shorty" Austin.

+1, McShay: "He was a monster against Alabama".

Don't get the whole "doesn't play with 4.3 speed", how many times other than fly routes does a player run in a straight line. His YAC were very impressive and his production was of the charts, 252 catches, 3117 yards, 24 TD's with a majority of those numbers in only 3 years.

Bigger, faster Wes Welker. Only concerns are concussion problems and small hands so he may have some drops. Very dangerous weapon for Palmer.

Per scouts doesnt run on the field like he does on the track. So makes his 4.3 not as impressive I'm assuming.

Yeah, so he runs a 4.4 with pads. Didn't get caught from behind very often.

This but the kid is white so we have to only compare him to white WRs...so he must be more quick than fast, Pat Tilley on speed baby! :D

I loved the tapes - I see a guy who doesn't shy away from hits, takes them and moves on downfield like Q did. Not nearly the route runner or hands of Q, but I love the demeanor.

Good pick that late. He's a grown ass man.
