Can I avoid ticketmaster fees if I purchase single game tickets directly from Cards box office in Tempe?

I don't believe so... everything they do (including season ticket accounts) goes through ticketmaster. Best bet is to call the ticket line and find out. 602-379-0102

You might be able to. Funny that I don't have a good answer as I used to work for Ticketmaster but I worked behind the scenes making software the venues use for ticket inventory.

Contact the box office and ask but I believe the answer may be no

Ticketmaster should be disbanded. They're thieves. When I was stupid enough to buy Dbacks tickets from them, I was paying about a 34% premium to buy them online when buying cheap seats - are you freaking sheeting me?? That's an outrage! This, for an "automated" purchase that no human has to touch. But you can walk up to the box office at the stadium and pay zero markup, despite a live person working the transaction. Same for Cards, same for all teams I presume.

Some reasonable fee is fine - but the figures they charge are completely outrageous, and they charge fees on top of other fees until your eyes water. I refuse to patronize them any more, even if it means a drive to a box office.
