the kicker let up on the kick when he heard the whistle. it wasn't really blocked.

I was praying he wouldn't do it... best time for the opposition's kicker to try a kick is after he's stood around watching the referees have a nice conversation for 10 minutes. Not after you've just given him a warmup kick.
