I always enjoy these breakdowns.

Massive hole opened up with Iupati & Sendlein sealing their guys & Fells & Gresham blasting the left side which allowed Veldheer to get to the 2nd level.

Great patience by KW to wait for his blockers & then explode through the hole. He broke the tackle of the only guy who could stop him & cruised for his 1st NFL TD. He had a nice run earlier too where he also broke a tackle with a spin move to get an extra 5-10 yards.

Interesting note from one of the video clips. The Cardinals have 7 players who have had a 40+ yd. play from the LOS this year.

Really this video sums up one thing... the Ram's defense gave up after being on the field all day long with no offense :)

bankybruce, that photo is the perfect example of a team imposing its will on the other late into the game.

I want to see us curb-stomp the Vikings on Thursday night.

Veldheer basically QB'd this run. He had two different reads he had to make before demolishing his guy in the second level.

Crazy what it is like to have an elite LT

Well blocked --

But Laurinitis looks like he took the wrong side of Veldheer -- playing outside instead of inside

The other inside backer went to his left ( as the run went to his right) around the end of the line and took himself out of the play -- I wonder if Laurinitis thought that was who was going to fill the hole inside of Veldheer. Iupati really had a great seal -- basically preventing the left side of the Rams line from any pursuit.

I thought that was due to the way Veldheer blocked the play the previous runs:

Veldheer blocked defensive end Matt Longacre on this run earlier in the game but will hit the second level this time: “Beforehand they had crashed (Longacre) down. So I’d block him and the two tight ends (Gresham and Fells) would come around and hit (safety Mark Barron and linebacker James Laurinatis). We hit them a couple times, so (this time) they were just going to play (Longacre) straight. So I’m going to go through and get Laurinaitis and (the tight ends) are going to kick out.”

Just heard Kent Somers on Sirius and he had some interesting things to say.

Felt CJ was slowing down a bit. Said Oline blocking schemes were geared toward CJ's style of running which was more zone and stretch plays. Said Oline blocking switched for DJ and Williams because both are more one cut and go type RBs. After seeing the results makes you wonder if this doesn't fit the Oline more. They don't have to hold their blocks as long.

They talked about the Oline and he said Veldheer started slow but is playing much better now as is Iupati. Did not mention Sendlein at all. Stated that Cooper has been disappointing to coaches and got replaced by Larsen. Said Larsen is more of a mauler and not a real good pass blocker. Massie has been a disappointment at RT. Said the right side of the line has not played up to expectations. Coaching staff is hoping to se some improvement over the last four weeks.

Sounds like Cooper may not be in the long term plans. Suspect they will let Massie go after the season and hope Humphries can fill that spot.

Talked Palmer up big time as having a stronger arm better mechanics, and better movement in the pocket.

Prior to Somers they had a clip from BA who felt Minny was playing good until the Seattle game and wonders if injury bug hasn't caught up to them. Feels they need to contain AP and not let Wallace get deep.
