kinda reserving judgement until post trade deadline

IF Ojulari and/or Arden Key dont get moved, or get moved for a 3rd -- then Monti probably did the best with what was available

IF Ojulari gets traded for a 5th........ then Monti swung and missed

we will see

We wont trade anymore not bc of Monti, but because of Bidwill. We will never be competitive and aggressive bc of our owneer

Carson Palmer traded for & extended
Deandre Hopkins traded for & extended
Chandler Jones traded for & extended
Traded for Kenyan Drake, Adrian Peterson
Signed JJ Watt, Jared Veldheer, Mike Iupati, Antonio Cromartie, Jordan Phillips etc…

This has nothing to do with money or aggression Monty just has a plan/identity of draft and develop love or late it. Typically you want the owner to trust the GM instead of meddling.

This is a nothing move. More to come hopefully.
If the Cards are serious about actually getting a pass rush. then it will have to be multiple trades for similar players in a rotational approach anyways. There are no studs for the taking at this point. I feel the same, hopefully at least another incoming

Nothing new

tired narrative. I'm stoked with what I'm seeing as this Defense totally overachieves as the season goes on. And I LOVE the way this team just roadgrades people in the running game.

But with a shot at the playoffs on the line, are you going to be happy if this is the only move Monti makes?

Depends on what he does on the field. Along with Drob when he comes back. If we somehow make the playoffs, I’ll be happy.

Cardinals fans have such low expectations. The NFC sucks this year. Merely making the playoffs when you have your QB and RB in their prime is a low bar when more is there for the taking.

If we make the playoffs anything can happen. I don’t think that’s a low bar. Especially when most think this team was at most 6-8 wins max…

Like 3 games this season we have shut out our opponents in the second half... this staff makes good halftime adjustments.

If this is the only move Monti makes... pensive...not happy.
Would feel like a "make the playoffs " move and not a "win in the playoffs " kinda move.
I don't expect we will make a super bowl run either way honestly... but once your in the dance anything can happen and it usually happens for the teams with the most healthy players.

Lots of folks thought we would suck this year so making the playoffs is a step in the right direction at least. I agree there's more for the taking though, the more they win, the more I'm gonna get greedy & expect lol.

Because he is still paying past staffs.
Well that makes sense but that's his own fault, never understood the extensions when he fired them anyways. The point I was trying to make is Vacard basically saying Bidwill won't pay which totally isn't true. Is he a great owner? We know he isn't but saying he won't pay isn't right. I think he will give this new staff pretty much what they ask for.

To a point. He isn’t going to endorse going after a guy like Crosby.

Mike has proven he will write the checks.
I think our biggest handicap is the "due at signing" portion of contracts...because we have not seen Mike write many of those that were huge.
