Capital Card said:Buddy inherited a pretty decent team (as far as Cardinal standards go) and managed to run it into the ground. So, were those national games based on Buddy's reputation, or that we weren't the worst team in football back then?
I don't care how bad we were the last few years, Ryan's days as coach were definately our dark years. He might have had a better record than Coach Mac, but he'll never be half the man in my book.
Even though the '94 defense was terrific to watch Ryan was an unmitigated disaster and the Christmas Game in '95 was probably the low point in Cardinal history. Which is saying something because they wrote the book on low points.
That game alone probably got the Cards a 10 year ban from Monday night. Unless they were playing the Cowboys of course.
