It’s pretty lazy to look at they guys’ old teams and decide we need their free agents.

When the Hawks signed Pete Carroll, many here were like, “He gonna sign all the Trojans Durr durr” and he didn’t sign any of them.

It’s probably a bad sign if your front office thinks that the best guys available are the ones they already knew. Bring in the camp fodder if you need someone familiar.
I mean the Eagles made the superbowl and have 20 (?) free agents. They have some good players that they aren't going to be able to resign.

Does anyone know much about the dude that wrote this article? Jim Koch. Supposedly a lifelong Cardinals fan living in Philly however that happens lol?

I wonder if Monti/Gannon might try to trade Simmons rather than find a role for him.

He's a top 10 pick. He hasn't shown the instincts to play LB. We are set at safety. I can see the connundrum it would be for any coach. Would you rather have this super athletic guy that you have to try shoehorn in to a role, possibly only in sub packages, who is going into year 4. Or do you try get something back for him now that you can put towards a "rebuild"?

Or does Gannon see a guy he can make a star with the right coaching? I'm dubious personally. I know Simmons has had some poor coaching but at the same time the instincts are clearly missing.

Will be an interesting one to watch.

Hope I'm wrong but got a bad feeling about the hire. Just seems like Bidwill settled for a HC that was " WILLING " to coach the team rather than someone that " WANTED " to coach the team. Most of the other HC candidates seem to have backed out or just flat said No to the job.

CARDS: 48 under contract: Cap space: $13,587,247

Anderson (cut): $12m
DHop (restructure): $9.1m (trade: $8.1m)
Baker (restructure): $6.8m
Ertz (restructure): $3.8m
Hump (restructure): $2.8m
Connor (restructure): $2.5m

Cap space: $50,007,926

Additionally, a new deal for Hollywood will reduce his $13.4 cap hit.

All kinds of ways to create Cap space.

It's all in the structure.

And then there is the thing that the salary cap goes up 16.6 million from last year.

Worrying even a single bit about the cap is a waste of time.

Just cutting Robbie Anderson would give us 2 depth players at 6 million each or 3 at 4 million each lol. I'm not worried, I think we found a GM that is going to build this team right.

The Skip video from yesterday of his bashing Gannon.

Here he is ripping the Sirianni hire from 3:00m onwards.

I remember when just a couple years ago our GM, HC, QB, and team were the darlings of the league, ranked at the top, and envy of others.

According to OvertheCap, they have 17 free agents.

Of those, eight are 30+ years of age.

Of the seven players under 28, two safeties and two off-ball linebackers played more than 60% of the snaps.
