is there any way to find out how far the cardinals regional coverage is?
I am thinking about moving again and knowing where I could watch the cards on tv might be a factor

I don't know how far you will have to come east from Cali but if your not moving to Arizona I would just get direct tv if I was you.

How exactly does that work? They're not blocked out? Do you need to list your billing address somewhere else?

here's some info on the radio at least
And, of course, if you have broadband internet - you can log on to radio coverage via your PC.

As soon as I hit the lottery, I'm gonna buy a second PC and put in a second cable-internet connection upstairs from my office so I can listen to Cardinal coverage on KDUS in the comfort of my easy-chair.

DirecTv is excellent for Cards games. I have had the Sunday football pac for three years now and have never had a complaint. You can watch every game televised on Sundays. It was the only way I could get Cards coverage when I lived in Oregon, and now that I live in Texas there was no way in hell that I would watch local coverage. I am afraid that when the cowgirls are not playing that the dead-airtime would be taken up with inteviews of Jerry Jones, the tuna, and the others misfits on the cowgirls team.

I will answer this as best I can. I don't know if the Cardinals are in the west region or the southwest region but on regular tv the games that are put on have to do with where the teams are from hence the term regional coverage, and then free byrd will only get to see a handful of Cardinal games as it is that's why I suggested him getting DTV.

You can easily split the existing connection for next to nothing and not have to put in a new line. The other computer will cost you some money though...

I've heard I can do this via some sort of router (with antenna) attached to the USB port of my current PC. Anyone know what the details are and how this works (and whether it's stable and reliable)?

It is very easy to do and also very reliable. Just dont buy the cheapest eguipment, something like a Linksys, or a Netgear should work fine, and they run about $60 - $100 depending on where you buy them. What you are looking for is a wireless router, and a wireless NIC (network interface card) for your new PC. Here is a link to a great page that should help with questions and reviews on routers.

im in cowboy country too, so I sympathize with you tx. on the direct tv broadcasts, you get the network announcers I guess? fox or cbs?

I bet the cards games get some great announcing teams.
