McCarron's averages as a starter are essentially those, I even went under with the yardage. And I'm looking at the low number instead of the high number for McCarron. My mindset in all of this is signing McCarron and drafting a rookie.

Just out of curiosity, who do you want as a free agent QB?

Those numbers are great but it’s 3 games and the Bengals were a pretty good team.
I’d take Teddy, Keenum, Bradford, Foles/Taylor via trade over AJ any day of the week. Hell, if you’re talking about being a bridge and mentoring a rookie I’d rather have McCown than McCarron.
I think we sign Bradford and draft a rookie. Keim isn’t going to sign McCarron to the kind of deal he’s going to be looking for. He’ll sign in Cleveland with Jackson who’s trying to win 4 games and save his job.
None of us know the direction this team is headed. Do they want Foles? Are they preparing to go all in and move up for Allen, Rosen, Darnold?

And I respect your opinion I just don’t share it about AJ. We’ll find out soon enough which direction they’re headed. Cheers

I agree... didnt want mccarron in the draft and he has never done anything to change my mind...I see perennial backup....

I actually would like to see us sign Teddy... I understand the risk in regards to his leg... but dude was never michael vick anyway...he only moved enough to make a throw.
with Teddy being only 25 and two years starting experience I just think he has the most possible upside of any of the free agents. If that leg holds up and he continues his development... he could be the franchise guy if the rookie does not pan out..I think of it as an inexpensive hedge of the bets.... whats the worst that can happen?? we lose 15 games and have the top pick next year?...or,..maybe worse...a collection of backup QB's makes us 8-8 again and we pick 15 next year too....hell...with a new staff and basically an entirely new offense we will likely be 8-8 anyway

The four teams still in the running for #KirkCousins are the Cardinals, Broncos, Vikings and Jets

Dollars committed to QB position of the four teams. (2018)

Cardinals $0, Vikings $555K, Jets $2.5M, Broncos $5M

(Browns 4th 2.0M)

yep...he is gonna sign with the Vikes...

because thats what would screw us the most...and thats just what it is like to be a Cardinal fan

We have climate on our side. 9 games a year in warm weather with 1 away game in LA. The other 2 in San Fran & Seattle where there's less chance of snow. With the Vikings they play in Chicago & Green Bay. Frozen tundra & such. It's a reach I know.

Pretty sure the Cards (lack of) O-Line makes them the least desirable out of the 4 teams in play.

I don't understand why people keep ignoring that our projected starting lineup at OL didn't play a regular season snap together last year. Yeah, our O-Line was bad... because we had backups in all year.

I would be ok with running with Humphries and Veldheer at OT next year. The problem is the interior line

Yup. We had one starter play the whole year. The rest were mix & match.

And, as the Rams showed last year, it only takes a key acquisition and/or scheme change to have an entirely different result from one year to the next.

Humphries & Veldheer haven’t been able to stay off the injury list the last couple of years. ARZ needs solid depth more than anything. They needs back ups that can come in and not be a liability. That applies across the OL, not just the interior.
