Great, Cards on MNF. Over/under for mentions of the Bears game last year.

Five.

Five in each quarter.

Ugh.

Ugh.

I'll trade 10 Bears references for every replay of Griffith's "illegal" hit on Vergina Davis.

This sucks big time and we are set up to be blown out. At least Pendergast knows the SF offense and might be able to keep us in the game until half-time.

!. A new offense never clicks right away, especially one with an inexperienced QB like ours. At least most of our starters are set already and I doubt that the offensive line will be fiddled with until Grimm has seen a few games.

2. A night game at Candlestick? Isn't that cold, very windy and foggy damp?

3. New coaching staffs often struggle with communication and game and time management problems. It takes time to work these things out. Meanwhile, a fist full of delay-of-game penalties can lead to a big loss.

We very much needed to open at home.

If we're going to be that dreadfully unprepared then a loss is inevitable no matter where we play. We may as well open on the road and get the kinks out of the way.

We have mini-camp, training camp and 4 preseason games to work out the kinks.

Who is seriously worried about getting blown out by a team we've beaten four straight times?

Also, Leinart may be somewhat inexperienced, but he's better than Alex Smith, IMO. And when play at Candlestick it is better to play in early Sept. than in December. The weather shouldn't be a factor at all.

Are you trying to stir the pot again? Because this is some out of left field darksidering.

I agree that it's awesome to get a Monday nighter. However I'm not excited that yet again the Cardinals are opening on the road and it's a prime time game.
Another road opener .. ???

But exposure on Monday night is priceless .. with a big win we could muster some attention from accross the nation .. they are giving us an opportunity to show that we are an improving team ... lets just hope that most of the rust is off the new offense ...

It could very well look like this, when these two teams meet.

Some great exposure we get on the east coast starting at 10:15. But hey its MNF.
I'm sure there will be a 5 min segment on our last MNF. We really need to win this game and let everyone know we are for real. A crushing win would carry over hopefully to the first set of 4 games. And if they did it like last year, they will all be division games.

Once again we get the second team .. just like the refs that do our games ..

After all of the years in a row of opening on the road (when we played at SDS) I figured we'd get a nice string of opening at home with the new stadium.

Last year the second team of announcers were better then the first team.

We are 4-0 against them over the last two years. How can anyone be concerned about a blow out?!

If it's wet and cold, so be it. What better way to introduce power football than in the cold?

I guarantee you that the coaches and your team is not looking past the Niners this year.
Besides the FA's we picked up, we also have 6 picks in the first 4 rounds (with another compensatory pick at the end of the 3rd round for Seattle signing FA Julian Peterson, and another in the 4th for Wa. signing Carter) for a total of 8 picks in first 4 rounds.

You better hope for a massive upgrade on your O line soon, or it will be a long evening at Candlestick.

As far as the weather? Players won't notice, but for fans in the seats? Chances are really good it's going to be cold, and windy, if not foggy on a Sept night. December games are actually warmer, because there's no winds coming in from the bay, at least not like the Summer winds.

Ask Mark Twain..he'll tell ya. ;)

As far as I know they haven't announced the compensatory picks yet.

2-0 so far on those long evenings at Candlestick. With two O lines that aren't as good as our current one. I think we will be ok.

Thanks for the concern though. :D

Did we get a starting LT all of a sudden? Because from where I sit our OL isn't as good as the one we finished last season with.
