of course...maybe these rumors drifted out as a means to motivate PP21 to play more physical...wilks has always preferred physical play

Wilks is in no position to teach an all pro a lesson by threatening to trade him. PP21 is one of the few players least likely to quit on the staff

Wilks is not the decision maker on any trades or personnel moves. Based on his record, he will be lucky to keep his job next year. Keim with Bidwills blessing is calling all the shots.

Somebody in this org is trying to end all semblance of team. I wonder who it is.

If you want to clean house, have the courage to do it in the open.
How do you know that this supposed rumor came from the team? Consider who reported this.

WHhy not see if some team will give up a #1 pick and maybe a young player (CB or LB ) who is under team control and can help the Cards.while its nice to have PP what good is he if the other teams run the ball down the Cards throat and pass to the other side of the field?I see only several untouchable players ( DJ,Chandler Jones and Rosen) everybody else should be open to discussion IMHO.

I'd send DJ away before Peterson legit shut down corners are hard to come by but running backs not so much

I see your logic but when the other team just throws to the other side and runs the ball well against the soft Defense iit matters less to have a shutdown CB.At least DJ can help Rosen by running and catching.

I would consider at least talking to teams about DJ, not PP though.

Yes, but DJ will not bring close to as much as PP in a trade. If someone is willing to give high #1 and a starter for Johnson DO IT NOW!!!

Right and while I like DJ, right now he's not anywhere near as good as PP. You have to consider replacement value too. The Cards have been trying for years to get a #2 CB to team with PP, how easy is it going to be to get a # 1 CB to replace him?

PP is still an elite top 3 CB in the NFL IMO, right now DJ is a guy who could be an elite RB (again) but isn't playing like it. If there are teams out there willing to give up a first round pick for him, at least look into it.

I'd prefer to keep him, you don't get an elite offense by trading your best players, but this team has so many holes. You want to get to where you have multiple picks in the first 2 rounds.

It’s very ugly that these reports are coming out. They didn’t happen when Whis was here; I wonder where they’re originating from.

It would be a very bad look to trade Peterson and ask fans to put their faith in Wilks. This team was 8-8 last year.
1-I believe this is people trying to put two and two together vs reporting news from actual sources.

2-If true, how could something like this leak out with Wilks being the superior leader that Bidwill viewed him to be?

If you could get two 1st ( 2019 and 2020) and a second in 2019 and a third in 2019 I would have to consider it. You could change a team in a hurry with two 1st, two 2nd and two 3rd in the next draft. Of course the problem is you have Keim and Wilks setting the draft board and that is a scary proposition indeed.

But you just don’t pass up generational talent like Bosa & Oliver though.
