I like what you're saying here, 40, and it really is the truth. The problem is, the pass rush and the offensive line has been our two biggest, gaping holes for the past few years, and we haven't come close to real improvement yet. When a team knows what's broke and can't fix it?

I agree with both of you. I believe the Cards have tried to fix the Oline and have been making moves to improve it starting with drafting Levi Brown. Too bad so few moves have worked out for them.

I feel that Russ Grimm is part of the problem. We are paying him handsomely and the results aren't there. You need to be able to upgrade your talent and it just isn't happening. We were told great things about Brown and Keith, but it really hasn't worked out.

And... How many sacks in the first 8 games were coverage sacks or the result of the QB leaving the pocket?

Seems to me that these would be considerations, as well as, the past years before they signed him to a new 5 year deal. But, perhaps, the charitable nature of Mr B extends to giving multi-million dollar contracts to so called failures like Levi.

You could ask that coverage sack question about all sacks-allowed stats for every offensive tackle in the NFL. What's hard to ignore is that Levi , Brandon and Jeremy were dead last in pass pro ratings for those games.
