Why do some fans still act like Wirfs wasn’t the best choice lol always going to Lamb

Lamb was not only the sexy pick, but had the Kyler connection. Had we not gotten Hopkins, I think he would have been the pick.

I'll own the fact that I wanted Simmons of all of the players I though could make it to us, and he hasn't lived up to it. Wills and Wirfs were guys I remember us relatively agreeing on.

These linemen have become just too big over the years. Their bones, ligaments, etc just can't hold up to that much pressure and wear and tear. If the NFL would design to game around the expertise of the medical profession, the game would have changed long ago. It's too bad it doesn't take into consideration the health rather than simply the bucks. They could have it both ways if they only used common sense, starting in high school.
