Wonder if this tune is gonna change when Conner doesn’t put up anything close to 18 TDs while still having relatively low YPC like he has while career?
Same. He had the TD season of his life last year. I’m expecting him to come back down to earth a little. Snd if he’s the bell cow back, for injuries to creep in quicker.

Color me stupid. I thought the light went on for this guy. However, no matter how good you are( Watt, cough cough) injuries and being unavailable skews the signing.
I’m the same guy that was thrilled with Isabella, so what do I know. Of course how can you know when the staff doesn’t use you? See Collins last year and Simmons two years ago.

This signing was well regarded At the time. Phillips was indeed viewed as a player who’d taken a big step forward. Him knocking the Cards, who paid him well, is absurd. I‘m sure injuries set him back but there motivation questions early on from what I understand.

Defensive linemen are a hit or miss. Because of injuries, he was a definite miss. High bust potential in the draft too, but I’d rather draft that position than go FA.
As long as Keim drafts a good one it's fine but he drafted 2 in 2020 & they're clearly backups at best imo. Lawrence & Fotu. Yes we need depth but we also need a dominant/physical DL to compete in our division. While I'm at it, we need a better OL also considering the DL's in our division. Keim being in charge of the draft doesn't give me much hope for the trenches lol.

I can’t argue your point, but considering where we drafted Lawrence & Fotu, they’re pretty much what we expected. Perhaps we’ll get lucky if we take one in the 1st round LOL. We really do need a difference maker on both lines right now. Drafting large men has been hit or miss always & with the entire NFL. We’re due for a hit.

We really need difference makers in general.

It will be an edge rusher or WR mark it down lol. I highly doubt we draft a DT or OL.

That's why we drafted Isaiah Simmons..
And to be fair, the jury is still out on Simmons. Many thought the Panthers would take Simmons just before us. When they took Brown, it made it VERY difficult for Keim to not take Simmons. I wonder if Keim would have taken Brown or traded down & taken Lamb if Simmons was gone. I personally wanted Lamb, but was fine with Simmons being the pick. This year will tell us a TON about whether Simmons was the right or wrong pick.

Yeah but after drafting Murray they haven't done much to put him in a position to succeed
Murray is the future of the franchise, if we will be good is just because of him
Protection and offensive weapon, basically he is surrounded by old players, and many of them not really good

Why do some fans still act like Wirfs wasn’t the best choice lol always going to Lamb

You’re very correct. I forgot to mention him. I would have been very happy with Wirfs that night also. Looking back, he was definitely the guy we should have taken. Although, the Murray/Lamb combination would be so much fun.

He was, but at least Lamb wouldnt have been a bad 2nd choice.

Its like getting Ayton instead of Doncic. At least it wasn't Marvin Bagley.
Maybe, but it’s not like Lamb has been anything special. He’s been good, but he arguably hasn’t been top 2 from his own class imo, & I expect Jeudy to take off with trash cans no longer throwing him the ball.

I wouldn’t mind signing Zach Kerr again, I think he’s a FA. Good rotational run stopper that probably wouldn’t cost much.
