:bang:

Okay, now I'm on the dark side here.

Apparently he wouldn't sign a longer term deal.

Mike Jerecki just said he does not want to be here and would not reduce his salary.

Team saves about 6 million dollars in total with the move. RT @JasonLaCanfora: Kerry Rhodes is being released. Veteran purges

or

Kent Somers ‏@kentsomers
#azcardinals save $2.6 million in cap for rhodes' release. $1.8 of signing bonus left to count

OR

Kent Somers ‏@kentsomers
Actually, proration goes to Jets because #azcardinals traded for Rhodes. So it's $6 m savings.

Oh well, this season is going to be hard to recognize the players. I think I will just refer to them by their numbers.

Not surprising. I've been thinking it would happen for awhile now. There's no way to justify a $6mill salary, especially with all the other safeties on the market. Maybe he refused an extension at a lower price.

He did and said he was leaving after the season.

What the heck?

It looks like the defense is gonna take a step back this season. :(

I'm confused.

Unless this has something to do with it: There could b a surprise team looking for Ed reeds services at safety.

But why in the world would the Cards trade Adrian Wilson for Ed Reed? If that's what they do then they're even wackier than the old Boone and Bidwill tandem.

One theory might be the defensive players are really unhappy about Horton and want to leave now.

I've been trying to prepare you for this. The writing was on the wall. To his credit, he had his best year last year, especially when they moved him up to the box. Horton got through to him and I would expect him to give the Browns a good look.

LMAO if the Cards are doing this to go after Ed Reed or Nnamdi, I should really stop cheering for this team. Hopefully they use this $6 million towards players that aren't actually washed out.
