Good signing. He's a proven NFL backup with lots of starting experience. In New England he probably had the worst supporting cast and coaching staff of any QB in the NFL. You're not throwing away the season, if he has to play.

Better than Tune which means very little.
He’s not necessarily better than Tune, but he’s certainly more experienced. And that matters should Murray miss a game or two. Anything more than that, and we’d be screwed.

Tune is bad PA. Experience be damned. I've seen what has resembled NFL throws from Brissett. I struggle to recall ever seeing that from Clayton.

This dude looked beyond shot the last two years when he got on the field.
Yea but he spent a year with Petzing and this past season with Van Pelt (who Pats fans say is their worst OC in 30+ years) who worked with Drew in Cleveland.

Thats whats important. Will we see our way through continuity.

Fine with it. Upgrading our backup raises our floor if Murray has to miss time. I will never be pushing for this guy to start over Murray.

If we're ever there, pull the plug. I don't want this guy to keep us from the #1 or #2 QB in a future draft.

I support this if we're trying to win.

Odd...in that Gannon has been high on Tune...and his only role is as a backup QB....no one thinks hes being considered as a starter.

Then you bring in Brisset...who would be more of a mentor/#3 at this point....maybe a #2....but man he looks washed.

If its "Murray is out 2 games and you HAVE to win 1".....then yes I guess I would still take Brisett over Tune, but at that point we might as well just cut ties

People just want to complain I guess.
And some people like to pick the peanuts out of the crap the Cardinals continually serve us and laud it as actual food.

Super crazy for me to not be over the moon signing a washed back up even for a backup after going 12-22 in the last two years, while failing to get Daniel Jones, a backup QB with upside.
