This QB class was almost as bad as 2013's class. In any other draft, Tribusky, Mahomes, Kizer, and Watson are 2nd-4th round picks. I'm sure at least one will turn out to be solid, but the value wasn't there.

No I'm not but that D was that year. He might be better than Stanton but you do know who much they each get paid right? Nether is a one so I will take the guy that wins and doesn't kill our cap to back up. Now if he got cut I could see bring him in for a look.
Agree and that's what I meant and compared to Stanton not Palmer - not taking on his current contract. He is still the best on Browns roster - I don't know if cousins, garrapalo would beat out Stanton with what 5 years in BA's system? None has taken Stantons job and that should be the first bar to hurdle! Sad but true

I thought so, none were worth it - Chad Kelly was the best risk and release option but he is hurt for next year too. Let's forget about Palmer for a minute and think what fa QBs can upgrade Stanton? Against popular belief I like Brock - will need more than a year to adjust - Texans were too impatient - he had a winning record - all the others over last few years didn't - but some will be released and at least know what NFL offense looks like - and BA and Moore know who and what they need

The Texans were pretty convinced he wasn't the right guy. That would be hilarious though. They pay all that money to get him, then give up all that swag to move him, and then he goes on to a successful career.

I don't think so though.

I think it was not the right guy for the price - I mean to fall back on Tom savage was because of money - no matter how they spin it - we did it for Kolb - and he hasn't been heard from since! Josh mcnown was the one that got away from us - that suckers still producing - bless his heart - I got a hat signed by him as a rookie - when he was the only Cardinal player that attended a Show Low Cards day! With all Josh's faults he was all in for the cardinals - unlike most

I guess what bothers me the most about QB after Palmer, they do not have a young QB in the wings learning the position.

I think they stuck with Stanton as a backup too long which made them less proactive to get a young QB.

Well we have kicked the tires on Barkley, Thomas, Hoyer, I think rg3, Brock, Sanchez need their tires kicked - but am proud Stanton has held on - and may be able to kick some az - we don't know what we don't know

At least Brock can see over the defense.

Why not kick the tires on any QB if they are not locked into a large financial commitment.

Groan... Kelly gone.

Excellent risk/reward with a 7th round pick. I would say John Elway knows QB talent.

Kelly has a big arm but lots of off the field and injury risk.

I am glad he got drafted but wish it would have been the Cards.

Really, other than DeShaun Watson, NONE of these QBs in this draft stood out to me. Hell, I'd rather see what Dysart can do. He's been "developing" the last three years. If he's ever going to be even a decent #2, he needs to show it now. And BA speaks highly of him.

IMO, BASK probably would have drafted ine of the top 3 QBs at 13, if they were available. They probably weren't enemored enough to move up for one of them and risk draft depth, which is why they stayed put.

None also stood out in last years' draft after Wentz & Goff. However, the Cowboys rolled the the dice and took Prescott on the 4th round. BASK didn't want to reach for a qb just like this year.

Prescott was well thought of until he got the DUI which pushed him way down in the draft. Still a bit early to anoint Prescott as a legit NFL QB but he did have an impressive rookie year.

Thing is the list of non 1st rd QB's that become legit NFL QB's very short.

They want to draft Fitzgerald next year so they can keep fitz telling him that he can get a Fitzgerald - Fitzgerald TD as the first ever ... XD and keep him for another year ^^

Jokes appart, to find your QB everything has to click, many don't pan out, from this years draft .. probably 1-2 next years draft may be the same amount.

Nobody knows who the guys are that pan out, it's lottery expect for some rare talent like Luck or Payton Manning but else ... it's a crapshot.

If for example Prescott regresses this year, how many will call for his head next year or even this year? Dallas isn't an easy place to be QB ..

Personally, I'm much happier with us trading the 7th rounder to move up in the 6th to take a DB. Much greater chance of Ford making an impact than Kelly.

Man, I cannot WAIT until the people that keeps throwing out the same ole redundant "This QB class was weak, next years is much stronger" statement use the same exact excuse next year around this time.

Last year, did anyone ever describe this year's QB class as strong?

We build this team and contend this year and jimmy garoppolo is a real possibility. All things being equal (comp), why wouldn't he want to go to a contender?
