So would a win tonight have made people happy? If the team is doomed, it is doomed right? And at 5-0 would a loss to the Bills have brought out such handwringing because the team didn't go 6-0?

Ya it was a tough loss, but I have seen worse. Just last year...

Not necessarily, the rams aren't good enough to blow out anyone.
This game wasn't a blowout it was a one score game until 11 minute point of the 4th quarter and the Cards had chance to make it a one possesion game again multiple times in the waning minutes.

...and Kolb still threw 3 TD passes, and FYI I said they looked good at times not for the whole game. Also those 8 sacks in that game were nowhere near as bad as the 9 tonight. Bottom line is the dolphins didn't have near the consistant pressure on Kolb as the Rams did tonight.

You're right. The o line is getting worse. Even beyond the sacks Kolb likely got hit another 20 times. And we all know kolas just not effective once he's been rattled. That's when he starts clutching ball waiting for a tidal wave. And things get compounded. Our o line and Kolb combine to create an almost "blood in the water" scenario for pass rushers. We should start calling the offensive line CHUM.

Right, I think you're proving my point. We played absolutely atrocious ball and weren't blown out. The rams aren't good enough to blow anyone out. And thus actually being blown out (last I checked we lost by 14 and there was no cheese TD thrown in there) makes this loss all the more concerning.

I think I heard the guys in post game state that we still haven't had in excess of 300 yards of offense in a game this year. THATS FIVE GAMES!

Guys, our offense is BAD. Not mediocre. Just flat out BAD.

We weren't blown out because we have a good defense that is going to keep the game close against pretty much anyone. Also your post makes no sense considering you say it was and wasn't a blowout in the same post.

We were in the game, but at the end we lost by 14 points. No cheese TD. That's a blowout. We weren't close down the stretch.

To blame kolb for any part of this disgrace is ignorance no QB is succeeding behind this line the amount of hits he has taken the past two weeks is unacceptable and someone should be getting cut or Fired tomorrow if for nothing else to make a statement!

really? in the first half, he had four separate throws that were either long touchdowns or at least thirty yard gains and he missed on ALL of them. He's got to hit at least one of those passes.

but the O-line was atrocious tonight. Problem was, even when they gave Kolb time, he airmailed a couple sure TDs and huge gainers.

total team meltdown on offense. no one's immune on that side of the ball tonight.

Eh, Fitzgerald had a drop, but it was largely inconsequential. He came to play

:lmao:

I couldn't let that go by without an acknowledgement.

I don't think Kolb was wetting himself back there (he should have considering the horrendous Oline play) but it obviously does impact how well he performs even if given enough time.

It has been my stance that all we needed as mediocre QB play to win a majority of our games and I'm not sure we got that tonight from Kolb. He was playing well early and was pretty accurate.

Then he started missing opportunities in both throws and decision making and cost us at least 2 TD's. As the game wore on the Oline starting getting abused and it was down hill from there.

I get that the Rams are improved, especially on D and that it was on their turf and a short week and DD was limited and I knew Fisher would make them much better quickly but I HATED this game. 3 freaking points is simply embarrassing and the D still has some work to do.

Not only that, there were at least 2-3 of those sacks where he kept holding the ball... I was screaming to the screen on one of them to throw the damn ball... he must have held it for at least 5 seconds and eventually got sacked.

My man, I made one typo that I edited immediately after I re-read the post. I'll be sure to run my posts by you first for editing next time. Also, so what if started posted more often 4 weeks ago, are you the hall monitor?

My problem with you is your posts lack substance besides complaining about the head coach. You don't type a peep unless we are losing or after a lost, exhibit A, tonight.

Just like you...Mostly I lurk...But when I am screaming at the TV for the coach to adjust and we don't...I login. We havent really dominated anyone in the last 14 games except Philly.....so every game is a frustration. We just happen to squeak out victories. Then to top it all off...when we play like crap...the coach says nothing in his press conferences that show any sense of football intelligence. IE...."We got beat on the edges a few times" Really....that is the best he can say???

What coach does say alot in his press conferences other than Ryan? They view it as a necessary evil. If you really think Whiz doesn't have any football intelligence...... well then, I don't know what to say. Maybe he should keep you on speed dial for the really tough decisions.

Yep

Fire Wiz...wtf is wrong with peeps.

When we win, Wiz had a good gameplan & made adjustments, Kolb looked awesome, PP looked like a shutdown CB, we have a dominant defense, etc.

When we lose, Wiz ****ing sucks & needs to be fired...hire Horton, when does Skleton start again because because Kolb missed to many open WRs, Peterson sux, this defense isn't that talented, etc.

We need to rename the board Arizona Sports Flipfloppers Network! :D
It just makes me laugh after a loss.

Kolb was doing ok then he and the receivers just stopped connecting. Early in the 2nd quarter, after Kolb was sacked on the first play of the 2nd, they completed only 1 of 7 passes.

What I found odd, though having watched the Whisenhunt Cardinals for 5+ seasons it probably shouldn't seem odd, is that the Cards started their first possession with 4 short passes in the first 5 plays. Kolb was 4-4 for 17 yards. I guess that's their new ball control offense?
