DL Ed Stinson hurt his groin at the end of practice. Arians said his status for game is in question.

I never call my shot, never, ever! I'm the most skittish Cardinal fan in the world.

Then I realized that hasn't really been working out so good the past 30 years or so, with the exception of a handful of seasons.

But when I heard the interview with Jeff Fisher saying the Cards D is nothing special and emphasizing that we are 32nd in the league in pass defense, I'm like, ok Jeff, it's on. Then I watched the interviews with Ram players and if anyone is overconfident, it's the RAMS! To a man they were all like; Well we beat Seattle and San Francisco so we're ready for the Cardinals. We beat the #2 and #4 defenses in the league, etc etc.

So I'm calling it, we're going to crush the Rams. This will be our first total domination game yet. Palmer will get sacked a couple of times because the Rams Defensive front is a bunch of studs, I think they will be the best in the NFL, probably by this time next year, but not on Sunday.

We are so much tougher at home than anyone gives us credit for. We're not losing on Sunday.

Cards 40-10

#AZCardinals injuries: LB Bishop, RB Taylor out for Sunday. DL Stinson questionable. Everyone else probable. #STLvsAZ

In year's past, I would have agreed with this, and I still might agree with it, but that is the question about this game.

Has our offensive line improved enough that it can handle the Rams' defensive line on a good day ?

We don't know yet. The Rams are a good team because of that defensive line, if you take that defensive line out of the game, they are weak just about every where else.

Ellington having a big day would help a lot in this game.

I would be worried if this game was in St. Louie. We ALWAYS play bad there (except this year hopefully). Our team is definitely better and should win this game by at least 2 scores. Rams D has gotten better, but our offense is by far more dominate (when running on all cylinders). Rams turn the ball over, especially Austin Davis. Can be good at times, but been really bad at others. If all goes right, I can see this one being our first lopsided win of the season.

I just continue to have nightmares of the Rams pass rush against us the past few years. Last weekend reminded me of it also. If we can stop it..... We win. If we cant. This could be a 17-13 game either way.

In BA's first official HC game we had an 11 point lead in the 4'th qt'er and let it slip away .
BTW , that was also Palmer -- Ellington --- Mendy , and several others first official game as Cardinal's ,and all players first game in the BA--TB system . The second game we played them , we pretty much rolled them 30 --- 10 . As for the Sheep's wins over the Whiners and Hags , does anyone believe those two teams are playing at the same level as last season ???

That should be motivation enough, that first game we lost last year also lost us a playoff birth.

Regarding the Rams in general though, we've only beaten them something like 1 out of the last 5 times we've played. They've pretty much rolled us when it counted the past few years. I'm basically all addicted to kool-aid but people saying it's going to be easy haven't been paying attention.

Regarding your second point, they're the same teams but face different problems than they're used to.

For Seattle, after winning a SB, it's really hard to win games the next year. Everyone treats it like the biggest game of the year against them. Every week man. Our team doesn't have to deal with that, even with our record. Every prime time game, which are many after winning a SB, every single player wants to flash and show something. It's not that surprising to me and I still think they'll be there at the end of the year. We still have to play them twice and they're going to want to kill us after last year.

SF though is inexplicable to me. They're showing exactly what they showed in preseason, which is weird, an inability to put up points. Kaep can spin a ball, can run, has great velocity, but I'm starting to doubt his ability to process information. They have major weapons on offense. Major. Alex Smith utilized those weapons. Say what you want about Smith and Kaeps ceiling being higher, but he was cerebral and knew where his players where. I honestly don't think Kaep does. I believe dudes are open and he has no clue. That, and their offensive line sucks ass.

I don't expect the 49ers to contend in this division. But Seattle is still a force. The Rams may be tougher than the 49ers.

Agree with Gator Hater, game plan must be run heavy. Supposedly the Rams aren't very good in defending the run, so if we are successful in running the ball it should set up the pass perfectly. I just hope we don't try throwing from the start, in order to see how our OL compares to their front four/seven. We all know that BA is a pass first type coach, but this week is the time to become a run first coach. JMO.

The tackles must keep that edge rush off of Palmer. They need to force them wide so Palmer can step up and sling it.

I think the key is Ellington carrying the load AGAIN and keeping the Rams' defense on the field. The way the Cards own the 4th quarter a worn down defense would really help.

Anyway, I think the Cards win 35-10 in this one. Not an easy blowout but I think the Rams lose steam as the game goes on and Bowles blitzes the heck out of that young QB they have.

A few weeks back, some were all jittery about Oakland because their rookie QB had thrown 4 TDS the game prior. Now it's the RAMS who got off the snide against a hot mess of an O-line, and short of a last second fumble would have lost.

Kaep has an old Commodore computer above the neck.
