I've been watching it since it started and still haven't made up my mind. I don't know whether I like it but I keep watching it.
It's just a wierd show.

On a chat transcript on HBO they said there is only 3 more episodes left in this the first installment of the "trilogy" I guess the show will run for a total of 6 seasons with each installment of the trilogy getting 2 seasons. I wonder if they are going to stick with these characters or get a new cast for season 3.

That would be a facinating way to continue the show. I must say this season has been one of the best shows in TV on in a long time

The tar and feathering scene was pretty intense.
That would be a nasty way to go.

The "old timers" in my family used to say they were going to do that to me if I didn't stop misbehaving.... guess I never thought about how much torture that would be.

Very, very good series and a great episode again. Season 2 is better than Season 1--coupled with Deadwood Season 2, it's the best 2 hours in television.

Geeze, the last few episodes of Carnivale have been simply amazing.... so many questions after the season finale

I don't think there has been another show in my history of TV watching that has captured my attention much like this show

Can't wait till next season, if HBO re-news it

No kidding. I loved some of the twists that this show has gone thorugh this season (especially with the finale ... one I saw coming, the others I did not). Can't wait until next season starts.

I saw the twist of Sofie becoming the new usher for a while now. However in saying that the twist with her having the same healing power as Ben caught me completely offguard. That along with her relationship with Ben should make for a great storyline next season. So now its a 2 on 1 situation. Don't you just love father-daughter reunions? :)

You almost have to feel sorry for Jonesie and that preacher ... as soon as they get healed, they die.

Now what does Brother Justin do now that his identity has been revealed (and not to mention going on a nice killing spree)? Does he go back to preaching somewhere else in hopes that the news of what he became becomes thought of as myth or doesn't travel?

Where does Iris (Brother Justin's sister) sit on this? Hell, what is her deal all together?

How is Lodz coming back? Whose side will he be on?

So many questions ... so many potential great storylines.

Can't wait till next season, if HBO re-news it

I don't see why they wouldn't

Bump. I just finished watching the season finale. It was awesome.

I hope it gets renewed, but it looks like we won't find out anything until June.

I watched a random episode on HBO a couple weeks ago. Pretty interesting, so I am downloading all of season 1. I am up to show 7 and have no idea what is going on. What is the correlation between the Carnivale and Brother Justin? Or will I find out?

You'll figure it out... it is confusing as hell until the end of season 1, beginning of season 2

That really, really sucks. I wonder how much HBO was losing from the show? The problem is that HBO is sticking with Sunday nights, which is murder because it's against CSI and Desperate Housewives. I might be wrong about CSI, but HBO has stuck to its guns when it should accomodate the more widely watched networks.

Watching it now...about 6 episodes in. It is fan-effing-tastic!

Just wait. It gets better, believe it or not.

Carnivale is a series of momentum, it starts out good, gets very good, then gets spectacular as you hit the middle of the 2nd season.

Deadwood, on the other hand, is a show that IMO is spectacular from start to finish.

Both are in my top 5 of favorite TV shows ever.

This show was magnificent. I definitely could have done with more. Whereas I think Deadwood had a definite end (even though I wouldn't argue with more), Carnivale definitely needed to continue. Alas and alack.

This was my favorite show on TV while it was on. Stumbled on the premier night and was hooked from the first scene. I miss this show a lot.

We are now halfway through disc 4 (so episode 8 is up next).

We just saw Brother Justin's childhood thing with him and his sister, and the next episode looks in-sane...even for this show (yes, we watch the "Nexts" even though it is just on DVD.)

I just finished the series.

Oh good lord...they cancelled this show? HOW? What a waste, man.

That was one HELL of a finale.

One of the best shows I've seen in ages. I want more. :(

2 million bucks an episode. That's why they canceled that show.

Yeah, I knew that's why they cancelled Rome.

Which I also really, really loved.
