Just in case anyone is interested I saw these on sale at Walmart for a whopping 14 bucks each season. Thats a far cry from the 70.00 they were asking when they first came out. I thought about buying them but I remember everyone saying that it didnt end well at all and I hate that.

Although a new story line opened up at the end of season 2 a lot of the original story line came to a completion so I would say it is definitely worth watching.

Not really. A new chapter opened, but it's the same story.

That said, this is one of my all-time favorites--right up there with the also canceled-too-soon Rome. Totally worth watching.

My main point was that the big showdown that the show was heading toward happens.

As much as I wanted more, Rome wasn't cancelled too soon. I mean, it ended with the Pax Romana, the Roman Peace. Unless they wanted to skip ahead a bunch of years and get into the family politics that ensued, which would have been a completely different show, it ended in a perfect spot.

Just finished this.

Reminded me a little of Twin Peaks. I'm not sure if I've ever seen better casting for a tv show. These characters were bizarre.

I definitely would have been interested in watching this story continue, but at least they wrapped it up a little better than Deadwood.
