No way we trade Amare right now. We should be talking and trying to get an extension done for like 5 years/80M$.

Might be unlikely he would agree now that Gasol probably gets a 3yrs/67M$ extension..

It seems he is finally back in shape or used to wearing the goggles. He is averaging 21/11 this month and it is probably getting better. Even for the season he is back to 20/8,5 already.

No way. He hasn't been consistent enough yet--if he can sustain this for another 10-15 games, then it will probably be time to explore it, but you can't honestly think he will be consistent for the next 5 years. That's craziness.

I just don't have confidence in Amare staying healthy over the next five years to give him this kind of money. If a fair trade was offered for Amare I'd grab it and not look back. Certainly I would not extend Amare for this type of dollars.

Refresh my memory, but when Stat got the microfracture, they said it may only hold for another 5 years before he would need it again. Isn't this about year 5?

Amare and Lopez for Butler/Blatche/Haywood....we get a great SF in Butler, a young up and coming PF in Blatche and a defensive and rebounding big in Haywood.

In a van...down by the river.
Sell high on Amare.......if it's even being considered.
After the Marion/Shaq trade i don't think the SUNS are going to tamper with themselves and their place in the Western Conference standings this year.........although if you asked me where we're ultimately going to finish you know what I'm going to say.:deadhorse2:

IMO Camby is going to get moved somewhere.Unfortunately it prob wont be here.
The Clips are already on the outside looking in at 12-14.
Who knows what the Clips would ask for......do they even know what they need? :D
Camby is putting up almost 9 points,12 rebounds,2 blocks and 3 assists per on 50% FG and he can stick the mid-range jumper.

It's interesting to note the Nuggets traded Camby to Clippers for only a second-round pick.

Im all against trading Stoudemire. But IF a trade HAS to be done, I would like

Amare Stoudemire and a 2nd round pick for Antawn Jamieson and Randy Foye.

Amar'e for David Lee (re-signed) and their #1 pick (DA doesn't want it anyway).

With D'Antoni's history of trading draft picks. the pick we get from them will probably turn out to be a superstar.

I would like to have Wilson Chandler included in tthe deal aswell.

No thanks. Both are tweeners at their respective positions. Jamison doesn't help us with our future, and we have a better version of Foye in Barbosa.

Utah owns NY's #1 pick in the 2010 draft. The unfortunate thing is, it used to belong to us until we used it to unload Googs contract for half a season. Whoops!

Since when has the AZ Suns board become a fantasy board! David Lee and Jamison are worth something in fantasy league, not anything in the real NBA. Stop it already.

Sell on high on Amare? But aiming for what? And also, how could anybody be so sure this is the near future high for him? His improvement in the season has been steady.

No one has addressed this and it seems like it is vitally important to this discussion....

An article from the East Valley Tribune written by Mike Tulumello dated October 12, 2005 at least partially addresses the time frame issue in regard to microfracture surgery. Amare had microfracture surgery in October, 2005 so I understand your concern.

However, microfracture is not a long-term solution because the surgery does not create true cartilage.

"There’s a three- to fiveyear time frame before it starts to deteriorate, but hopefully with this procedure we’re helping to ****** that natural progression," Emerson said.

As for Amaré Stoudemire, Emerson said, "Microfracture is certainly an acceptable treatment in this kind of injury."

Actually, people bring it up all the time, but at least 75% of the board is in denial about it, and then there are another 10-15% who compulsively retort, "How can you know anything, your [sic] not a doctor."

David Lee at 10m a year will be worth a hell of a lot more than Amare at max. If we did a swap of the two players right now I think you would see no difference in the team chemistry or win/loss column whatsoever.

With Amare the Suns will win 50-55 games. With Lee they'd be lucky to win 45.

No you stop it. Lee would put up those numbers in our system, he's not just a one year wonder. Jamison is a little old for my preference but Lee would be a nice addition, if we had to trade Amar'e.

That's absurd. The season is a third over and there hasn't been more than maybe one game in which Stoudemire made the difference between winning and losing.

That's absolutely not true, but I see your point. When a guy has 5 20/10 games, that affects winning and losing. Come on now.

The problem is that he's only had 5.

I wouldn't mind a Caron Butler/1st Round Pick; or Mike Miller, JaVale McGee, and 1st Round Pick Trade...

Obviously not all will enter Draft but the PF Prospects are looking solid this year! Would like to add that I've been impressed with Amar'e this year though but you never know with the type of injuries he's had...

Well, if Lee comes at about MLE, I'd welcome him with open arms. But at 10mil per, I'd not want him with that cap room. Lou is almost as good.
