Am I the only one who keeps noticing Amare bricking dunks? Knees. . . tick tick tick

what would his few missed dunks have to do with his knees? You may have a valid point if he was not elevating high enough and was being rejected by the front of the rim but thats not the case. As is with most missed dunks he's actually slamming the ball too far, hitting the back of the rim and having the ball carom a long way.

Channing and JRich have done the same thing and I don't recall either one of them having knee problems.

For what it's worth, the missed dunks that I've seen from Stoudemire have come from inadequate elevation. When you slam the ball into the back of the rim, it's because your angle of attack is too shallow (horizontal).

But you don't have to look at missed dunks to see evidence of Stoudemire's compromised athleticism. It's evident on pretty much every play. Just compare the way he moves around to someone like Rashard Lewis (who has pretty much the same build, only less muscular).

Just watch a game or two before his surgery and you will see that he is not even half as athletic/explosive as he used to be.

True but he has learned to play the game below the rim. He is so much better with angles and has learned to use his body. He's also added some low post moves and is fantastic with Nash in the 2 man game. Makes you wonder how good he'd be with the whole package.

I guess, but they sure don't work. Stoudemire has one of the worst post games of any starting PF in the league.

His biggest problem isn't his low post moves, its the difficulty he has throwing out of the double team.

Who cares? As long as he gets the job done, why even talk about this?

Exactly. When he is on, like in the wins against LAL and Boston, his game is better than ever before his injuries, simply because he couldn't rely on pure athleticism any more. Whether he has the worst low post moves or not, Bynum, Gasol, Odom, Perkins, Rasheed in these games could not slow him down at all! :D

Why don't we just start a thread here about the differences between Whirlpool and GE dishwashers? Hey, it's a discussion board.

You could but they'd just move it to the "Everything Else" forum.

In a van...down by the river.
Give me a break. Seriously.

"Thats absurd.
Thats ridiculous.
You're not very smart if you really believe that.
Thats ludicrous.
Give me a break.
Thats never going to happen.
How do you know that?
You don't know what you're talking about."

Seriously, why must anyone here on this board have to continue to listen to your ****ing crap everytime you retort a post? Are you really that much of an cornholio that you can't manage to disagree with someone without coming across like a rude, defensive, bitter old man?
I'll surely get banned for this but you need to be dragged out behind the shed like an old dog and beat with a stick until you can learn some manners.

Seriously.

I thought he was missing dunks because he's going blind.

He's certainly improving. Have you not seen his newly developed hook shot? Seriously, it's impressive.

LOL, very cute. I never personally attacked anyone, but I always get attacked personally. You think I have a problem? YOU'RE the one who has been crying when someone disagrees with you. And you STILL don't address the topic at hand. Instead, you result to petty personal attacks.

You're passionate, I'll give you that. Nah, I don't think you should be banned. Seek professional help for your problem, maybe. But banned? It's not worth it. Too bad you can't handle differing opinions.

I would not be in favor of trading for Lee. I believe he is over rated. He would be a big step down from Amare

Please do not forget Amare's ability to get to the ft line. Once Amare is gone, we will want him back. I really don't mind if he is a little inconsistent the the reg season. He always brings it in the playoffs.

Amare's d seems better this year. He also seems to be maturing in his emotions and character. I am liking him better than ever before right now.

I pretty much agree with this. I would LOVE to have David Lee on this team, but not for Amare Stoudemire.
