Cro needs to pass his physical---but if he does, he could be this year's Dansby---cut from his team in the AFC East and needs to have a big year to merit another good money contract. Has the length, speed and ball skills to be a Pro Bowler in our defense. Should be motivated to outplay Richard Sherman, that's for sure.

AC was a three time pro bowler. I know he has been hurt, check himout medically and if he is really ready IMO we sign him for camp and see what is left a pretty good player.

I don't see the issue here, unless we're paying him big money. Sure he has been injured, but if he's healthy enough, he'd be an upgrade over what we have now (nothing after Peterson, Powers, Bethel, and Mathieu).

Bring him in on a cheap, one year deal, draft a corner in the first three rounds, and then continue to kick ass defensively. Sounds good to me.

Only one player that came in for a visit in the last year did not sign(I think). It seems that if they are coming in, they are pretty much a lock to sign.

Cardinals signed Ted Ginn to a 3-year deal, team announced. As for Antonio Cromartie, sounds like it was more a feeling out meeting

He'd be pricey MT @RapSheet: RE #AzCardinals visit: As for Antonio Cromartie, sounds like it was more a feeling out meeting

Not sure if that means the Cards are out of contention for his services or not. Hope not, he'd be a great #2 with PP21

LB from GB visited the other day and decided to stay with GB instead.

That's fine---the Cardinals are doing their due diligence. Just as they would not overpay for Dansby at his age, they won't overpay for Cromartie. I still think too that they have their eyes on Mike Jenkins...younger and faster.

#azcardinals still negotiating with Ben Dogra, Cromartie's agent. Not as easy as some other deals.

Wonder about Cro's physical as being the "feeling out" part. If he passed---then maybe Steve Keim is willing to up the ante.

If we can snag him for at least a year with our D, we can be in the running in the NFC west title

IMO - it's about incentives for someone coming off a down year.

This. 16th in 2012 to 103 in 2013 is a HUGE drop off. Cromartie wants guaranteed money. Kiem wants incentive contract. Hope they find a middle ground that works for both sides. He has the talent. Right coaching and scenery could be a steal for us.

I hope the Cardinals can get a deal done. Cromartie would be a huge sign.

He certainly is better than Powers.

Don't care about the ratings. Powers was horrible. Opposing qbs went after him.

At least Powers battled. I agree that he is not that talented, but he gives everything he's got. You've gotta like that.

Cromartie, on the other hand, runs away from tackles. . .
Also last season Cromartie was paid around $9 million. I wouldn't sign him for half that.

Buyer beware, indeed!

Just tweets, but there are tweets out there saying that Cromartie is close to being signed by the Cardinals. I'm sure we all know that this doesn't really guarantee anything, but it could very well mean that they have agreed in principle assuming they can find some sort of middle ground in negotiations.

All for it if he is over the hip injury and is closer to the 2012 Cromartie and not last year's. Not worried about Keim overpaying him, he knows what he's doing.
