@NetworkNFL: #Cardinals are on the verge of signing former #Jets CB Antonio Cromartie. #NFL #freeagency
It's really quite amazing how high Kiem's percentage has been in the last 2 years for signing guys that he has targeted in free agency. Seems like everyone that is targeted gets signed and always to good team friendly contracts.

Wow,i just hope he doesnt play lazy cause is very talented and we could have a super cb duo.
Now the front office must be focused on patrick peterson extension.
In the draft we can just care abut talent and not filling a hole.
That why we can even consider shazier
At this point we could sing calvin pryor with 1st pick and trade up in the end of first round for shazier

I would not trade up for the very reason we will not be motivated by need. It is a deep draft, we have the freedom to sit back and draft the best players :)

Antonio Cromartie's trip carries over until Friday, when he's due to leave. Talks continue w/ @azcardinals. No idea if a deal gets done

Jets saved 9.5 mill by cutting Antonio, so he's going to want some serious paper. He and P2 would be a strong force in the NFCW.

If we get Cro, still need to go BPA in draft. Don't reach for OLB. Take the latent that is given to you. Still want CB from MSU. Dennard.

I've watched alot of highlight film on Dennard. Man, does he hold alot. Gets flagged for it too. He's got talent, it just seems he isn't as natural at covering as much as he needs an "assist". FWIW.

That what the account says.

I read it, but the account isn't followed by any legitimate NFL people that I follow... and I follow quite a few.

There's nothing stopping me from writing the same thing as my account description.

Funny that some of the people ripping on DRC in the other thread want Cromartie. Guess who the Jets are bringing in to talk to about replacing Cromartie, DRC.

They are actually quite similar players, neither one plays the run. There was a famous video from a few years back of Cromartie turning and ducking away from a RB, ironically a jet RB and they wound up signing him anyways.

He is older and hasn't recently suggested he might retire but otherwise IMO DRC is better, had a better year last year that's for sure.

+1. Exactly what I was thinking. They are the same player but I would rather have DRC because he is 2 years younger. People forget he was a Pro Bowler during his time in ARZ yet people bash his lack of tackling ability. I also don't get the he doesn't care criticism, where did that come from and didn't we bring back Dan$by after he bolted for $$$$$? DRC & Peterson would be one hell of a tandem.

It seems to me the reward making a fake account and tweeting news about Cromartie is almost nonexistent. Why would anyone bother to do that?

Interesting that they are looking to spend decent coin on a CB when the biggest need on D has been SS. Maybe they are planning on using Cro in man coverage on receiving TE's, keeping Powers on WR#2 and PP obviously on WR#1.

I'm having flashbacks of seeing Bell lined up man-to-man with Jimmy Graham on the outside. At least Cro would be an upgrade there. Lol.

So far nothing has happened with Cromartie ?

I am not a fan of bringing this guy in so I am actually good with seeing nothing happened.

I like the thought of the D-backfield consisting of PP, Powers, Mathieu, Cromartie, Bethel, Johnson/Jefferson, draft pick. That's a lot of nice athletes back there.

Well, nothing has happened yet anyways. They are supposedly continuing negotiations today so the deal may very well be happening. Personally I like it, especially if it is true that he was hampered with a hip injury last season because that could explain his down year as apposed to it just being declining talent.

Believe me I'm not suggesting that he is actually on the decline, but there have been quite a few people saying he just isn't good anymore and that he was terrible last year and having a nagging injury all year could help put some of that talk to bed.

Same age that asamaugh law and finnegan fell off...30 is a bad age for corners. That being said I would love the signing as there aren't many great #2 WR in the division #2 and he's big enough to put on Vernon Davis.

I'm Greedy - I want both Cromatie's - Our CB depth was touted last year- I never really felt it- but damn it - we would be set to draft true BPA - and if it is not an upgrade at any position - they'll learn on the bench.

Keim is a main stream talent evaluator- so much better than the shots in the dark in the past. Even if you have a miss- the shot doesn't miss the whole earth!

He wants us all to meet his children. Bob, Mary, Fred...and the other four when he remembers their names.

But seriously, just to cover Vernon Davis twice per year it's worth it. Do it.

Interestingly... I just saw my twitter blow up with PP, Kent Somers, and Darren Urban following CRO31. Could mean nothing, but sounds like we may have a new member of the Birdgang!
