I agree that if Gabbert works out I’d seriously consider a tackle or even a guard with that first pick. I’ve been tracking a couple I like. I like Washington but I wouldn’t take him that early. There will be useful free agents and if Palmer goes along with a couple of others who seem certain to leave the Cards will have the dollars to get a good WR.

No way I'd bet the house on Gabbert. It's ludicrous to keep putting off getting another mobile young gun in here. Git r done Keim, it's time. Sign a good younger FA OL if at all possible. Draft another early.

Anthony Miller has gone from 4th-5th round to middle of the first in the above CBS mock.
That's crazy. I really like the guy, but no way believe he is 1st round stuff. I had him pegged to Cards in 3rd round. He is not a 1 receiver. More like slot or an Allan Hurns#2 type but shorter.

P S I am old school which said do not take a WR 1st round. Too many value picks lower.

I don’t see why not. He’s so similar to Antonio Brown & Antonio Brown is arguably the best WR in the league & has been for a while.

Also, lol @ the thought of drafting another OLineman with the 1st pick because we bet the whole damn house on Gabbert.

Yea, he’s not falling to us in the 3rd, not even 2nd round unless GMs are dumb. Arguably the best WR in the class.

Local kid WR to keep an eye on: Christian Kirk, Tex AM

Speed and dynamic in the open field low first, early second rating.
