For the record, Red Auerbach is dead. So I guess we'll have to stick with Bin Laden as the most evil person alive.

Oh dude...you just think that rat bastard is dead. He's alive. Paul Pierce's miracle cream on his knee is proof positive.

That dude can't die. You can't kill the devil.

Well, as much as I hate to congratulate the Celtics, they are without doubt or question the better team. Obviously, I would have rather seen the Lakers win it, but in the end the best team won, and nothing more can really be said.

Congrats to the Celtics, they earned it fair and square.

Was great to see the Celtics win. I grew up admiring that franchise and wishing I could do 1/4 of a single McHale post move or drain a smooth game winner like Bird.

Was nice to see Ray Allen have a tremendous series, paul pierce get some reward for his tough times, garnett show up aggressive for an entire game of importance ........ i could never be accused of being a big Doc Rivers fan, but he should enjoy this as well

so much was said about why this team couldnt' get it done - but they built a bench of quality depth and put in a system where everyone knew and executed their role - as the lakers showed it takes more than just slopping talent on the floor and the celtics had that extra amount

amazing way to close out a series and the garden was rocking like an NBA finals arena should

I don't understand why you keep trolling. Is it because you know you get a free pass to do so? I don't get it.

I don't understand why you think everything is trolling. Is it because you can't see past your own team to think that others can post on a topic too? And that when people say another team's fans crap on a thread and should "go home and think about their actions today" we can't think that is actually funny? Because it sounds like something someone's parents would say.

Where's this free pass you speak of? I don't get it.

Truly happy that KG and Ray Ray got a ring, There are time i hate KG because he talks way too much smack, but i also respect his passion, dedication and talent.
Nice to see them both including Pierce reap the fruit of their labor and not go down as one of the greats that never one a ring while some self centered ones gets a fistful

I can not WAIT until the Cards thump your Seahawk asses both times this year. I'll post a nice big picture of Bill Sr. eating ice cream in your honor. ;)

For years I felt that both Garnett and Allen were players that could be plugged into the Suns and net them a title. I also think Pierce is great fun to watch. Thus, I guess I can't hate the Celts that much.

Also, the BOS fans in the bar in which I watched the game were much more knowledgeable than the LAL fans. I haven't had this much fun watching a game in a while. It was probably more enjoyable than any Suns game this year.

It's nice to see the great franchise be great again. It's also really nice to see Ainge do well.

I am happy to see Rivers, KG, Ray and Paul get the ring- great coach and great players. I never liked Pierce until this series, but boy was I wrong!! This guy did one hell of a job in the finals.

It's also great to see PJ Brown and House get the ring, they've always been among my favorite players.
Congrats to the Celtics. I hope we get to play them in the finals next year.

Congratulations to the Celtics.

1. They play team ball.
2. They play solid ball on both ends of the floor.
3. They never quit.
4. They don't "grab and gripe" like the Spurs.
5. They dominated the series and the final game, saving Stern's butt from accusations of fixing the game.
6. They learned how to play under pressure during the playoffs.
7. They had less difficulties beating the Lakers THAN ANY OTHER TEAM THEY FACED IN THE PLAYOFFS (including the Hawks).
8. They made all the experts (except Legler) look like fools. http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/playoffs2008/series?series=lalbos
