Suns should offer Barbosa + resigned Marks/Skinner for Hinrich
of course Marks and Skinner will need to be signed for about 4 times what they got paid last season. :)

Suns:

PG: Nash/Hinrich/Strawberry
SG: Bell/Giricek
SF: Diaw/Hill
PF: Stoudemire/
C: O'Neal

I thought the lottery was held after the finals? How did chicago land the #1 with 1.7% chance, and when is the rest of the order declared?

Wow. You know its only a matter of time before the Bulls become relevant again. It's amazing. Just when I thought the NBA was moving towards spreading the wealth in terms of winning titles etc.. We have stuff like this happening.

Lakers, Celtics, Bulls....oh my!

When Bobcats got the 9th pick, Bulls automatically got top 3...

Top 3 picks are picked randomly just like buying a lottery ticket, that is why they call it the drat lottery, then the rest are slotted by record. Everyone who did not make the playoffs gets a chance to pick in the top 3. Lets say there are one thousand ping pong balls in a barrel, the Bulls has 17 of them and David Stern picked on and it was the Bulls, then the Heat has 250 of them and Stern picked one of theirs, then Stern picked on of the Sonics who had 199 them. It is actually much more complicated how they pick out a team, just you get the gist.

Did u watch it?

The commentator... as soon as Bobcats got no.9.... said Bulls moved up. Top 3 atleast.

Then you see the Bulls rep, being very very happy.... and that was just after the 9th pick....

So something was up.... top 3 was guaranteed after Cats got No.9

Im trying to find out how...

The Bulls should have pick 9th based on record, if they were not at #9, we all know they moved up and got a top 3 pick since those are the only ones that are for the lottery. Just like how the Suns lost the Hawks pick last year. Have you never followed the draft before. They have been doing it this way for a long time.

If the lottery wasn't weighted like it is that would sure look suspicious. Bulls get #1 pick with Rose there who grew up in Chicago idolizing Jordan and wearing 23.
Do you pass on Rose because of Hinrich? They have Thomas and Noah but Beasley is a better player than either one.

I was thinking it'd be ironic if they got the 3rd pick they could take Mayo so Mayo could play for Tim Floyd in college and then the team that fired Tim Floyd. I figure Mayo has to go top 5 to avoid taking a paycut.

I would offer the Bulls Barbosa and Diaw for Hinrich and Ty Thomas (would have to wait till July 1st due to BYC status of Barbosa/Diaw/Hinrich) to work financially.

They might be willing to do the deal since then they wouldn't have to re-sign Gordon who would be expensive for them (more than Barbosa $$), and with Diaw signed for less money and 1 less year than Hinrich, due to those 2 factors, they have to add in either Thomas or a combo of Noah and Sefalosha to get the deal done.

So deal #1:
Bulls get: Barbosa/Diaw
Suns get: Hinrich/Thomas or Hinrich/Noah/Sefalosha

Same reasons as above in regards to Chicago's salary for Hinrich compared to what they receive. The Bulls save a year of Salary (Hinrich is signed for 5 more years compared to either Diaw and Barbosa @ 4 years, or Randolph @ 4 left.)

Or maybe a 3-way deal with NY/Chi/Phx

Bulls get: Randolph/Balkman
Knicks get: Diaw/Barbosa
Suns get: Hinrich/Thomas or Hinrich/Noah/Sefalosha

Basically, everyone ridding the team of salary they don't need and get pieces that they do.

Knicks get rid of 1 albatross salary and player that doesn't fit D'Antoni's system and get 2 in return.
Bulls get rid of an albatross salary that will be redundant with Rose (should be the Bulls pick), and get a down low PF that can control the paint on offense along with another back-up 3/4.
Suns get rid of an albatross salary in Diaw (that most people don't like) and get a back-up PG that can actually lessen the minutes of Nash along with either a young 3/4 in Thomas or a 4/5 in Noah with a combo 1-2-3 in Sefalosha

Yeah with Gooden there, it should be okay at the 4... and they are set at the 3 with Deng and Nocioni.

Definitely will choose Deng over Gordon now.

So they let Gordon go or sign and trade.

If they can accept Barbosa and Diaw, I think its not too bad of a deal...

I guess the Heat would go for Beasley now. They badly need a SF. Rose would be reasonable for the Bulls.

They wont do Sefalosha + Noah + Hinrich....

If they let Gordon go, Sefalosha will take that spot... they might consider if Hughes is packaged to get rid of him.

Im still not too sure with Tyrus Thomas.... he doesnt seem to have the IQ to play with the starting lineup.... Suns already have Stoudemire. :)

If the Heat can get an extension deal done with Marion, then with Wade, Beasley and Marion, they could be somewhat scary in the East.

We are not trading Noah, or Sefalosha. Paxon hates Thomas and Hinrich has worn his welcome out. The Bulls owner is cheaper than Sarver, so forget about Diaw.

I personally would LOVE Ty Thomas on this team and I'd also love Hinrich.

Nash/Hinrich
Bell/Tucker
Hill/Giricek
Stoudemire/Thomas
O'Neal/Skinner

It's a better start....

Are you guys insane? Do you really want a 10 mil contract as backup for at least two years? I'd rather have Lowry than Hinrich to backup Nash, who is a much better defender and penetrator anyway.
