Who's gonna replace him? McClown?

I wouldn't mind seeing Parsons get a couple snaps.

why have we thrown on 3rd down on routes that were not enough to get 1st down - TWICE ?

I was wondering the same thing, you need 4 yards, Gilmore catches a 3 yard pass. Do they expect Gimore to get the extra yard, or is more masterful playcalling?

Thats just horrible route running/play calling/throws.

What gives?

We got lucky. I don't think that should have been called--8 out of 10 times it won't be.

Overall...a piss poor 1st half. No running game...and Blake can't seem to find Boldin. Bad play calling...defense has played ok but to let the Bears drive the length of the field at the end is unexcusable...we are lucky it is only 7-3...this smells like the Steelers game......Manning...we're getting closer!

My view

I don't know, I think Blake has looked good. He's made some strong passes, some of the routes that are being run are ridiculous though. Gilmore keeps running these routes short of first downs. At least one of the 'short' third downs was a nice catch by Freddie Jones on a busted play, that I thought Blake did well to avoid a sack on... the killer was that pass to Johnson as if that ball was a foot shorter or Johnson a step faster it would have been a huge gain.

The Bears have looked sharp on defense and sporadic on offense. Player is keeping us in this game, three punts within the 10 is amazing.

nfl.com is now showing only 1 sack by Thompson. It was showing 2 before. I guess the Bell one is not counted as a sack as Stewart tripped on his own??

We're lucky it's only 7-3, but we've also blown some opportunities. That last drive never should happened. Jackson drops an INT right in his mitts at the 15, then Rhinehardt tries to tackle Stewart up high on third down, letting him shake him and get enough yards for the first down.

As for Blake, I'm not sure why you guys think he's the problem with the O today. Gilmore's drop, and Johnston's drop were killers. Johnston once again let up just a little on that route. On the third down plays, he did miss Boldin once who was wide open. On a couple of the other ones, the Bears had guys coming in free on the blitz forcing throws to the hot routs. Then, they tackled well.

The biggest problem with the offense in the first half is they know our running plays. We need to change those up at halftime. We need good yards from the run to win this game.

Right on! OL is not run blocking well at all. We need to change that in second half to give ourselves any chance.

The play didn't work on first down, so let's run it on second? Then, yet another unblocked guy on the blitz. Player shanks one.

We pissed away the advantage we had after a good defensive stop.
