I like it for us but Berk would sniff the top 5 let alone #2. DeMontre Moore is a far better prospect.

Carradine had a big injury . I think he wil drop in the 3th round considering how is deep this position in the next draft

This. I would love to see us take him in the third or fourth round. He won't be able to work out for teams before the draft from what I have read.

I just dont get the Warmack love

and its not just "you dont take a guard in the top 10"

I dont think he is as good a prospect as DeCastro, who went in the 20s

Hutchinson went in the teens

Passing Jarvis Jones for Warmack based on need just doesnt feel right

regardless of team I'd be surprised to see Warmack in the top 10 .... then again, this has the makings to be a really funky draft

Nix has stated he'll return for his senior season

I definitely think seattle will grab a TE somewhat early in the draft - but would be a little surprised if they don't go DT or LB in the 1st

Leinart, Sanchez, Russell Wilson.

Is it that some coaches have the ability to make marginal qb's look good?

It could happen. I haven't heard the specifics of injury and the recovery time yet which is why I kept him in.

A couple points here. Warmack is a better athlete than DeCastro and stronger at point of attack.

Hutchinson went in the teens when you didn't take an OG high because of the cost.

Jarvis Jones has medical issues which will cause teams to look twice until they get some answers.

In the arguement of Warmack vs. Jarvis Jones, it is pretty cut an dry. Both are top 10 talents who fill positions of need, but the determining factor is who makes our team better. IMO a great pass rusher could make our defense potentially dominant, but it doesn't change the fact that the offense is still what holds back this team. Warmack helps the offense which is why he gets the nod.

I think Seattle really likes KJ Wright, Bobby Wagner and Bruce Irvin so while I agree they will add another LB, I don't see it in the 1st round. I could see a DT, but I wonder if the depth at the position causes them to wait. In the end, I believe the blocking ability and athleticism of Eifert will be highly valued by the Seahawks and they will make the pick because of the drop off in talent after the first three TEs are taken.

Don't sleep on Eric Fisher OT - Cent. Mich. He's a first round pick.

He is really athletic, but I think offseason workouts will show a need to improve his strength which will cause him to drop to the 2nd round. Functional strength is really valued by NFL scouts in regards to offensive linemen and they tend to drop prospects who need to improve this.

my rationale for Jones ( med issues aside) over Warmack are this:

the drop off in production / impact wise from elite pass rusher to average pass rusher is immense

the drop off in production / impact from elite guard to average guard is much, much lower than above

I just feel like I could come back in round 2 and take DJ Fluker, or Larry Warford and get 90% of the productivity

As a thought experiment: assuming both were college seniors, and with perfect knowledge on the kind of player they would become, for next year -- would you take Steve Hutchinson, or would you take Demarcus Ware?

I take Ware every single time.

Irvin plays DE for the hawks - will most likely eventually move over to the "leo" spot that chris clemmons currently plays ... right now though he's mainly a situational pass rusher coming off the edge

leroy hill is on endless one year contracts - they do really like wright & wagner, but may look to upgrade that spot .... although malcolm smith has been playing really well

they very well may go TE - i know they'd like to get a consistent threat out of that 2nd TE spot

I agree that Jarvis Jones is a solid player who could be a terror as a pass rusher and by rule, I think edge rushers are the #2 most valuable position after QB. HOWEVER, when your offense is as inept as ours is, you have to make improving it as the #1 priority. Allowing 3 or 4 less points a game, which a top pass rusher would probably translate to, is meaningless if your offense can't score any points. Sometimes you do back yourself into corners where you do have to make need picks which is the situation we are in.

OK but that's an unfair comparison because in this case Ware MIGHT have a career threatening medical condition that can't actually be "treated".

That's the whole question on Jones, did USC's doctors overreact in refusing to clear him to play again, or does he have spinal stenosis. If he does, many NFL teams will pull him off their first round boards.

Even if 100% healthy Jones was going to be interesting because he's more productive than his workout numbers are likely to show. Most people don't expect him to be great in the 40 for example

Great player, but lots of questions.

It does not matter the skill set compared to other years of the draft. By that I mean the QB position overrides round value to me and I see three QBs going the first round.
