The D-backs again find a way to get around Young's SUCKYNESS and pull out a W!
Young = 3 more K's and 4 men left on base. Struck out in the 10th with the bases loaded and looked like some 5 year old swinging the bat for the first time...
I actually cringed and felt sorry for the kid... He looks completely, entirely shell-shocked. He needs to seriously consider an alternative career. All kidding aside, the dude is simply not a Major League player in any way, shape or form...

He can't hang mentally on offense in the big leagues... SAD. Maybe we can keep him on the 40 man roster for playoffs as a defensive sub late in innings and as a base runner, cause clearly he can hit in AAA.

Finally, Young's destructive forces caught up with the D-Backs as they fell short last night 4-3... Young goes 0 for 4 with 2 more K's and a whopping 6 more men left on base.

He is truly redefining the word SUCK!

There's something about his swing that just seems off, but I can't pinpoint it. He is taking weak swings, but it's almost like he's looking in the wrong direction or something. :?

Yea... sorta looks like a guy who doesn't belong in the bigs, doesn't it?

From what I can tell pulls off of everything, causing swings through anything soft away or very weakly roll over. Then he gets on his heels to try and defend the breaking ball and gets blown away by fastballs right down the pipe.

No Young last night... makes you wonder why he was called up if he's not going to play.

Scherzer looked great last night. Still not able to go the distance, but he looked solid for 7 2/3rds!

Allen hit a Bomb! And Reynolds is starting to show some signs of fatigue as he's fading just a bit...

Hinch's MO, as was Melvin's, is to constantly bench players, rather than let them build confidence over time.

Young, after his short success back in the Minors, is watching his average fall even lower and lower.

I think they were hoping his Minor League hitting would carry over long enough to showcase him for a trade. But it died the day he came back up.

Mark Reynolds is in a slump. He might just be the same kind of player Steve Finley was. Carry the team when he is hot and contribute very little when he is not.

The trouble is that when he's slumping, Upton is going to see fewer pitches to hit. That is why, as much as I love Reynold's stats, he is a classic #5 hitter, just as Matt Williams.

Batting him cleanup just shows the lack of a cleanup hitter on our roster.

That's one of the reasons why we are no farther ahead of the last place Padres now than we were months ago.

Edit:
P.S.: I would love to see Allen put into the cleanup spot, leave him there from now to the end of the season and play him every day. I think he can handle it.
