First off i am not a fan of Matt's but i don't hate him either.
As a rookie he looked pretty good (for a rookie)

When he lost the job to Kurt a few yrs back in hindsight i am glad he did. Kurt took them to the SB and would have won if AARON FRAN had better balance.
Or if Fitz ran a 4.3 or Kurt make the right read.

Anyway if you guys think back Kurt and Matt where neck and neck heading into the 3rd game Matt got the start vs raiders.

The 3rd game was is the real game(preseason) Matt bombed out and Kurt got the job. IIRC at that time the raiders where running a 46 and had one of the better secondaries in the NFL then. 46 d is very hard to look good against.

That was a Little unfair to me he got setup i believed it then and i DEFINITELY believe it now.

If CKW wants Anderson or who ever else to start and play then so be it. All this talk about the locker room and team chemistry is BS.

If Matt does not understand the plays or is not prepared then it is understandable the team won't follow him. I think he not Kurt and it may be some jealously over Matt profile.

I don't care who starts as long as he is the best player. But i think CKW has done Matt GREASY.

Before i get the CKW will always do what is best for the team response. Here is what i think about that.

1. The shotgun run play with James and hightower NEVER worked but they ran the play several times a game.

2. The corners playing off how many yrs has this been going on giving a team a free 5 to10 yards and still give a HUGE pass plays. CKW can tell the d coordinated to stop that MADNESS.

3.Tim over Beanie ( Really) Beanie was the 1# player in the country at one time. Also i like tim but and he makes some plays at times.

With that said He to me a more of a blocker than anything else.

But i do like tim just not like beanie. When i saw Wells play in the army game out of highschool he was the type of player you said he's to good to ever play on a team i root for.

4. Fanaca over Deuce

5.Russ grim as oline coach the line is CRAP and has been fire Grimm

Those are 5 and i have not really started to dig deep

Thanks. Wasn't sure. As for the OP's thought, I love CKW, but I am REALLY disappointed in this offseason. I think some decisions were made that could set this team back a few years if the choices made don't pan out.

This is baloney. "CKW", as you call him, gave Leinart the entire offseason and camp to show him that he can move the ball down the field and he failed to do so. The line didn't show the ability to open up the holes that would be needed to run the ball at will, and Stephen Williams came out of nowhere and gave Whiz the ability to run 4 WR sets and move the ball in the same way that the Cards did during the past two seasons. If Leinart had stepped up in camp, moved the freaking chains during the preseason games and led the team with poise, then "CKW" would have handed Leinart the keys. Instead

1. Leinart was inconsistent during camp (read Shane and TJ's accounts)
2. Leinart couldn't move the chains in the preseason
3. Leinart threw tantrums when things didn't go his way (Screamed expletives when Whiz chose to punt on 4th and 1)

The Cardinals coach is anything but "greasy" and he has done a heck of a job in the valley to date

Back to the OPs point that Whiz doesn't always do what's best for the team, I'd say he always does what he thinks is best for the team, but that doesn't mean he's always right.

In the case of the QB situation, it comes down to personal preference. Just look at Kiper and McShay debating who should be the top QB every year for proof of that. Some people focus on a QBs arm strength, athleticism or charisma. Others focus on a QBs accuracy, football IQ, durabilty, among many other things. Ideally you want a QB with all these traits but that never happens. Even Peyton Manning could be better at athleticism.

When it comes down to Anderson vs Leinart you have two very different QBs that are probably fairly close in overall talent. Depending on which things you focus on you'll decide which one is "best for the team." Based on the events of this off-season, we can gather that Whiz places a premium on a QBs charisma and leadership ability, as well as his big play potential and arm strength and places that above accuracy and ball control.

So no, I don't think he has "done Matt GREASY" so much as Matt lacks the things that Whiz values most in a QB. Some coaches would agree with Whiz, others would not.

I agree with the tenet of the original post about Whiz. I am not sure that I would have used the term greasy when describing him , but he is certainly a slickster when operating a football team. Opponents should be wary of him. It is not always what you see, but like an illusionist where you have to watch the hand that is doing nothing and not the one that is working.
