his comments in Darren Urban's hilariously titled "Hope For Change" (while making none) just make me sad. Seems as clueless OR MORE than any Cardinals coach I've ever read about. Read it at your own risk.

are you really comparing multi year starters in the Big 12 -- guys who have played in Natl Champ importance type games ---to a guy who started at Fordham?

as for Flacco: he started not because he was ready, but because of injuries at QB. he also had a nice running game and great defense to lean on.

Anderson drives me just as crazy as the next guy -- but I really think people underestimate just how difficult playing QB in the NFL is. If Skelton doesnt know the offense well enough to play -- what is the point in putting him in?

at this point, how does skelton not know the offense?

Yeah, it's really a tough offense to learn.

Run up the middle--2 yard loss

2nd down, run 3yard out--pass incomplete

3rd down, 4 yard pass over middle, imcomplete (or pick 6)

punt

Repeat

on Skelton:

DJ: I would say that virtually all players taken in the 5th -7th rounds are projects, QB or no. Breaston played only a little WR his rookie year, and ultimately developed into a fine one. Antonio Smith took a three years to develop into a solid DE.

Mattyboy: He may know the plays -- but hasnt practiced them since training camp. 3rd QBs run the scout team mimicking the other teams offense.

If Skelton isn't ready, why isn't he ready? He's had the playbook for seven months. He's been in team meetings and seen plenty of game film. Is anybody working with him, or is he being largely ignored like most other third string quarterbacks? I think it's ridiculous that he isn't ready to take a snap. He should know enough at this point to garner playing time. Let the kid earn his stripes. Let him learn from throwing five interceptions. I can live with that if I know he'll be better off in the long run. What I can't live with is watching a six year veteran stare down receives and throw into double coverage or miss-fire on wide open receivers time and again.

I understand that some coaches don't play rookie quarterbacks, but what is the point in keeping Skelton on the bench? Of the three quarterbacks on the roster, he's likely the only one that will be here next year (fingers crossed). Put him on the damn field!

Damian Anderson irked me off blaming the fans on KTAR on the ride home. Whiz came on with his 2 eye blnks and calculated response. Never accepted any responsibility blamed the players for not making plays,

when ever unit is the worse in te NFL, you can't pin point a position coach or a coordinator. you have proven SB caliber flipping that bird. it falls

onto the new contract for the HC, with personelle and control superpowers that is calling the plays. I like Whiz but he cut many players that I liked too. like Matt leinart, Cody Brown, Reggie Wells keepable players not just Dansby, Rolle, Q that ran as fast as they could from Whiz and the Cardinals.

That is where Mike Bidwill holds the keys to Graves and Whiz's old broken work truck- when tires rolled off on the train tracks.

It's a fine time to leave me loose wheels!

Damian Anderson
Do you keep deliberately referring to Derek as "Damian"? Or is it just a repeated mistake?

Just wondering.

edit: Or am I just stupid?

(the answer, as you will see below, is C :))

So like I said why trade up to get a guy who is nothing more than a 2,3,5 year project?

Guys like that are available every year as UDFA's.
