I have placed a bullseye on the forehead of Cowherd. When the Cardinals win the NFC West again next year, he is the official "Collinsworth" of the 2010 season. If anyone listened today, he, IMHO, showed just how absolutely ignorant he is. What an arrogant, pompous ass he is. In actuality, I'm tickled that these "so called" football experts have us staring at a 5-11 season. I only hope that all the other morons in the sports media follow suit & I'm sure they will. Whiz will have more motivational tools now than ever before. As it stands right now, a 7-9 season will SHOCK THE WORLD. I will be frothing at the mouth come September. I would love to run into that spindly, little twit. I'm sure he'll change his tune when he has to, but the Cardinal Nation had better not forget what this clown said today.

I quit listening to him a few months ago when he went on a political rant about how we need more gun laws.

It was not only what he said, but the manner in which he said it. Something along the lines of - Just when you think that this franchise has turned the corner, they have the worst weekend that any franchise could possibly have. What could we possibly be thinking by trading Boldin & allowing our 2 BEST defensive players to leave via free agency. Cardinal fans were emailing him like crazy, & he was ridiculing them. He was arrogant & condescending. Everything he said just screamed out "the Same Old Cardinals". They lost 4 of their best 5 players. If Fitz turns an ankle, we are headed towards a 4 win season. Deep down, he's a Seahawks fan. He won't admit it, but he did pick the Seahawks to win the division this past season.

More like our 3rd and 6th best defenders.

I heard it. I've listened to him on and off - mostly off - for a couple of months now. The only difference between Cowherd and some drunk at a bar is that someone is silly enough to give the guy a microphone and pay him money to spout off for a couple of hours a day.

I think he also said he had on a USC sweatshirt today. Oh yeah! I'm impressed by the guy. <<rolling eyes>>

I would argue 4th and 6th...

ive only followed the Cardinals since 06 but Id've rank them as follows

1. Dockett
2. DRC
3. Wilson
4. Dansby
5. Campbell
6. Rolle

With Rhodes signing id insert him into Rolle's position in the rankings but think he'll be above Campbell once we are a few games into the season.

I like Cowherd, disagree with what he said. But with Warner leaving, Rolle, Dansby and Boldin gone what do you expect from the national media? I understand that after years of being laughed at alot of us fans want the Cardinals to get some national respect. In reality we should root for us to be disrespected - we always play off that as a team and as a fanbase. I say keep it coming.

Thanks for the welcome, ive been reading this forum for over a year and finally decided to contribute to the discussions rather then just soaking up the knowledge. Ill tell you this is one of the greatest sports forums ive been on and ive been on a few.

I think my man crush on DRC prolly got the better of me in that ranking as obviously A-dub's longer proven track record warrants him to be higher on that list.

We're glad to have you along. Your first post was not spam or a trash talker saying we're not going to win a game, so you are cool in my book!

Anyways, DRC is going to turn into something special so it is not inconceivable for him to be #2 or #2a along with Wilson eventually. Right now, Wilson is the emotional leader and captain of the defense and is more well rounded.

But you are right, we did lose two impact defenders but not our best players. As far as I'm concerned, as long as we replace those people with quality players (which we just did with Rolle), we'll come out of this rather unscathed. If we sign a veteran ILB or pick up a great one in the draft, I'll feel more confident moving forward.

Umm, he didn't say anything that wasn't said on this board. As I mentioned right after all the deals were done, there were many people here claiming the sky was falling. Am I happy with what he said (I didn't hear it, just reading these comments) of course not, but it has been said before, why get your panties in a bunch over it?

Cowherd says what he thinks and doesn't seem to have much of a filter which is why I like him. I hate when people try to be politically correct and he definitely is not PC. He has been on the Cards bandwagon for two years and I know there are threads here praising him. Let it go, people have opinions and if they don't mesh with yours you don't need to go hang them in effigy. Next season when the Cards are playing great and he sees the light we will go to praising him again. Happens all the time with every person.

Well lets put it this way a Wilson-DRC Hybrid is the perfect defensive back in that one is brilliant in coverage and the other is the type of tackler that gives quarterbacks and running backs nightmare's with his Hayemaker tackles.

Colin will rant about things like this and trash teams. Often times he will trash a team and then praise the same team a week later. And he will even sometimes admit when he was wrong unlike some people.

What do you expect people to say about the cardinals right now? the cardinals wern't exactly a lock by the national media before all of this, but now of corse they are going to drop in popularity. In my opinion the major blow is losing kurt warner. I don't know if the cards can recover from that loss.

I like Colin. He says it EXACTLY the way he sees it and doesn't sugar coat it for anybody. So he blasts the Cards on their first two days of FA (something a lot of us were doing too) and everyones up in arms. Look at it from his angle. Lets say the Seahawks lost Matt Hasselback, Lofa Tatupu, TJ Housh (cause Housh isn't as good as Fitz...better argument is to say he is productive as Q but even that is stretching it I think), and Deon Grant all at once. We'd be saying they would have the #1 pick next year. So hearing Colin say what it sure looks it could look like (and lets be real here lol...We very well could BLOW next year) doesn't bother me in the slightest.

I like his show OK.

It is what it is.
He comments on the surface appearance.
He doesn't do a lot of in-depth analysis.

He has some good general insights and moderate entertainment value but not much else.

In short, don't take it too seriously folks.
