Colin Cowherd might be one of Sean Payton’s biggest fans. The long-time broadcaster had the current Broncos head coach on his shows numerous times, and when Payton took the Denver job, Cowherd was one of his biggest proponents of a turnaround coming soon.

Despite his support of Payton, Cowherd doesn't have a very positive projection for the Broncos' outlook in 2025.

The Las Vegas Raiders hired Pete Carroll as their newest head coach last month. That leaves the AFC West with all four teams with a coach with a championship pedigree of some sort: Andy Reid won three titles with the Kansas City Chiefs, Payton won a Super Bowl with the New Orleans Saints, Caroll won a title with the Seattle Seahawks and Jim Harbaugh brought playoff pedigree from his time with the San Francisco 49ers and championship pedigree from his time with the Michigan Wolverines, to the Los Angeles Chargers. Colin believes this stiff competition will make the Broncos struggle in 2025. He has Denver projected to finish third in the division this season.
