LB Coach Keith Butler staying with Steelers and not going to Indy to be defensive coordinator.

Retweeted by CardsChatter, for what it's worth.

Maybe he doesn't want to be a DC. Maybe he's happy being Lebeau's lapdog.

I think I heard Jurecki say yesterday that this will be Lebeau's last season and that next year he will be a "consultant" and Butler will be the DC.

Maybe someone else heard that. Can't say for sure.

This is how you move on from a HOF QB, and a team with a great recent history of winning. You move on completely. It isn't like they have much talent that they are making expendable by transitioning as the only player that is at risk is Freeney, whom I believe is in his 30's. I don't see them resigning Mathis, and their next best players are corners.

Blowing it up keeps fans in a realistic frame of mind. This is a bad team whose talent is almost all over 30. In order to keep pressure off Luck, the Colts have set up a plan that should give him 3 years before fans start expecting the playoffs again.

What type of compensation could the Colts get for Freeney?

If they are letting everyone go (Peyton, Wayne, Saturday, Freeney(?), and Clark (?)) and rebuilding with the draft (Luck) and young free agent types, they should trade Freeney for something because I would think some team would at least give up a 2nd round pick for him.

I would say the same for Robert Mathis but he is a free agent. I wonder if they try to keep him.
