I'd still rather have Kolb than Smith. We already know Smith's apex. Kolb's potential has yet to be reached IMO.

Was that your same response when your Lord and Savior Alex Smith was being routinely dissed by everyone on the planet while playing like creamed crap over the previous 5 years?

Wow your day must have been real dull. Kolb > Smith is by no means far fetched, and many experts would agree.

I just think its hilarious that the 9ers are going to hitch their wagon for years to come on Alex Smith. I've never seen so many fans do an about face on a mediocre QB in my life. The defense has masked so many deficiencies on your team.

Be prepared for a substantial letdown next season.

Kevin Kolb is not even a top 32 starting QB in the league. That is fact.

What has Kolb done his whole career? NOTHING. Just because the Cards were stupid enough to pay for him to be your franchise QB doesn't mean he's good. He was NEVER anywhere near good.

Lack strength
lack speed
lack poise
lack pocket awareness
lack accuracy

these are the potentials you were talking about?

Kolb sucks and so does your entire roster of "QBs"

Our third string Scott Tolzienz has more pontential than all of them.

"facts" contrived by someone so insecure about his team that he feels the need to troll other team's MB to feel better about himself, only to leave further humiliated.

You're the same clown who told us that Braylon Edwards was better than Larry Fitzgerald. That alone makes anything you say about football invalid.

Here's a fact for you: you can't tell the difference between a football and a hockey puck.

Hahahahahahahahaha! Get lost.

If Aldon plays his cards right, he could become scummy like Leonard Little.

Fitzgerald was asked if he thought Peterson would make the Pro Bowl as a cornerback one day:

"I think he's right there. He's tremendously talented. I don't he even knows how talented he is. Talking to (Bengals receiver) A.J. Green after the game a little bit, and he's telling me Patrick was by far the best cornerback he's gone against. I feel the same way.

Alex Smith > your entire roster of QBs

Jim Harbaugh's opinion > yours

Aren't you paying Kevin Kolb like a trillion dollars a year?

After a 7 TD 7 int year in Philly...yea, you are one to talk about QBs. Philly hosed your ass.

If you wanna talk QBs, show me your credentials, show me you've watched film, show me your studies instead of just BS you've read from the media. The media doesn't jack about the technical side of our team.

What are YOUR credentials?

I told you all SEASON what would happen, you'd get to a point where they needed Alex to take over and he'd fail to do it . To his credit he did it against NO I didn't think he could, but the next game against the Giants he failed to do it . Kyle Williams screwed up twice but the game wouldn't have been that close if Smith had made the plays.

Greg Cosell is not "media" he works for NFL Films

http://nflfilms.nfl.com/2012/01/24/cosell-talks-for-alex-smith-what-a-difference-a-week-made/

This is a guy who has made a career out of analzying NFL games, and he has access to NFL films not the stuff we see on TV. Here is some of his comments.

It’s never that simple. As always, a careful study of the coaching tape revealed much more. The NFC Championship should not have been as close as it was. I wrote last week that Smith was the difference against the Saints in the Divisional Playoff, a game in which he was outstanding, especially in critical moments. Unfortunately for the 49ers, against the Giants, Smith was also the difference.

Let’s start with the first 3rd down of the game. It was 3rd and 4; the 49ers had already gotten 1 first down. Michael Crabtree ran a sail route (kind of a flattened corner route). He was wide open. Smith, with no pressure in the pocket, did not pull the trigger. It was a throw that had to be made. The result of the play was an incompletion on a late check down to Frank Gore.

The first play of the 49ers fourth offensive possession was also telling. It was a shot play, a called big play off Smith boot action. Williams ran a deep post off a stutter move. The double move froze Corey Webster, and Williams raced by him. The design of the play worked. Smith overthrew Williams by 5 yards. A good throw, and it was a touchdown. An adequate throw, and it was still a 50 yard gain. This was another missed opportunity.

But the first play of the second half was perhaps the most indicative of Smith’s performance. You come out of halftime with a specific plan. The 49ers went to one of their staples, the wheel route. A shot play right out of the gate. Delanie Walker, from his line of scrimmage tight end position, ran by a slipping Webster. The concept worked to perfection. Walker screamed down the sideline. Smith again did not pull the trigger from a clean pocket. He ended up getting sacked for a 7 yard loss.

I showed you facts of Alex vs. Giants and Rodgers vs. Giants. It's obvious Alex did better despite having a much weaker WR corps. Matt Millen and other sources in the media have openly said we have the worst WR corps in the NFL and none of them was open that game. Alex Smith still got us 17 points which was good enough to win.

Packers (arguably the best offense in the league) only scored 20 points and 14 of them came off really bad calls. Giants shut GB and SF down for the most part so give them credit not take away credit from Alex Smith. If you're gonna do that that you should do the same for Aaron Rodgers.

You were the same person who crowned Kevin Kolb so I'm sorry but I cannot take you very seriously.

You don't think the wind effected his throw on the Williams' TD? or maybe he misjudged William's speed. Eli missed A TON of throws that game. Why isn't anybody critiquing him? He threw two sure fired INTs to us that we failed to capitalize. even if one of them was a pick, he would've been the goat of that game and we would've been in Indy right now playing in the SB.

Your bias is obvious towards Alex Smith on here. Like I said, Jim Harbaugh >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> YOU and whoever that does not play on our team.

Our defense will murder your whole team for years and years to come. It doesn't even matter if Alex plays here or not.

Even Shaun Hill OWNED your team.

like they murdered us when they let John Freaking Skelton come back from a 91-7 deficit, having his best game ever, throwing for 68% completion percentage, 280 yards, 3 TDs and 21 points? I mean, that was JOHN FREAKING SKELTON.

You had your fluky year and unfortunately for you, Alex Smith did just enough for you to have to stick with him... which sucks for you, but is great for the rest of the division.

personally, I see y'all being like the Ravens post 2001 Super Bowl... really good every once in a while because your defense is nails, but with that joke of a QB, you'll probably be in and out of the playoffs just like they were for 8 years... only, you won't the Ravens Super Bowl to look back on because you're boys choked this year away harder than a hooker in a ****-gobbling *********.

Wow. So desperate that you are trying to prove that your QB was better than another team's QB when both your teams played and lost to a common opponent... really? Who cares?
