I showed you facts of Alex vs. Giants and Rodgers vs. Giants. It's obvious Alex did better despite having a much weaker WR corps. Matt Millen and other sources in the media have openly said we have the worst WR corps in the NFL and none of them was open that game. Alex Smith still got us 17 points which was good enough to win.

Packers (arguably the best offense in the league) only scored 20 points and 14 of them came off really bad calls. Giants shut GB and SF down for the most part so give them credit not take away credit from Alex Smith. If you're gonna do that that you should do the same for Aaron Rodgers.

You were the same person who crowned Kevin Kolb so I'm sorry but I cannot take you very seriously.
alex vs giants? fo alex vs manning? Alex gets crushed.

You don't think the wind effected his throw on the Williams' TD?

This is an excuse I would be allowed to make on the golf course about why my ball went into the water. Not what a "professional" quarterback should be making about missing critical passes.
or maybe he misjudged William's speed.
A good quarterback knows his receivers' tendencies and can make throws according to their timing and speed. "Misjudging" is not a viable excuse for a QB who is trying to become better than sub par in the NFL.

Eli missed A TON of throws that game. Why isn't anybody critiquing him?
Does this really require an answer? For you, ok.

Because Eli was clutch and Alex was not. Eli made critical throws on 3rd down and completed higher than 50%. Alex failed to execute in any of the aforementioned categories, and I think the only 3rd down conversion he had was on a meaningless play.

Alex deserves plenty of critiquing and criticism.

Stop pimping Alex like he's God's gift to quarterbacks. He will never be part of the solution to the 49er's offensive woes.

Well you didn't show many "facts" but lots of opinion. Fact the Packers receivers dropped how many balls?

matt Millen the authority on WR's ok hard to dispute that.

I don't care how good or bad your Wr's are there is actual NFL GAME FILM that shows Smith had 3 chances to get either big gains or TD's and twice he didn't even throw the ball and the 3rd time he badly overthrew the guy.

You can't dispute that it's on tape and a guy who has made a living looking at game films is the one saying that.

He threw two sure fired INTs to us that we failed to capitalize. even if one of them was a pick, he would've been the goat of that game and we would've been in Indy right now playing in the SB.

Your bias is obvious towards Alex Smith on here. Like I said, Jim Harbaugh >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> YOU and whoever that does not play on our team.

Our defense will murder your whole team for years and years to come. It doesn't even matter if Alex plays here or not.

Even Shaun Hill OWNED your team.

Hmm don't recall you discussing the cold in the Packers game? or that the packers receivers dropped I don't know how many passes right in their hands a couple of which might have been TD's.

Cold? it was 30 degrees all game that day with no showers, winds or snow. Please.

You disregarding the 30 mph winds and showers in SF and claiming how the "cold" affected Rodgers and co. shows your obvious bias.

uhh what? he had about 5 drives at the end where he didn't do **** but got sacked out of FG range for the Giants. It wasn't until the gifted fumble that they were able to score any points at the end of that game.

Eli was a joke at times and could've cost them the game had the Niners were able to capitalize.

BTW you fools were the same people who were saying who the hell is Justin Smith and that Dockett is twice the player as him.

That's had to be the dumbest comment on any sport forum in the world.

Justin Smith >>>>>> your whole defense.

Eli struggled at times, but obvious results prove that he got the job done. Additionally, he was the #1 rated QB in 4th quarter/OT production. It shouldn't be a surprise to you that him and his team won the game.

If Alex Smith was better than a substandard quarterback, perhaps you can make this argument, but you cant. < 50% completion and 1/14 3rd down conversions is what most would consider a "joke."

The bold would constitute about 98% of your posts.

Manning:

32 of 58 (57%)
316 Yards
2 TD's, 0 INT's

Smith:

12 of 26 (46%)
196 Yards,
2 TD's, 0 INT's

Also, in the first half - Manning converted 4 of 8 3rd downs. In the 2nd half and O.T., he was only 3 of 13. However, Smith was only 1 of 13 for the entire game!

Nobody is questioning the strength of the 9er defense. Fact is they put up one of the alltime best seasons. However, Manning completely outplayed Smith and, while you point to Manning's performance in the 2nd half and O.T. - which was certainly below what he did in the first half, the fact remains that the game is played over 60 minutes, not 30... (more in this case due to O.T.). In this game, the Giants controlled the ball for nearly 40 minutes, to the 9ers 28 minutes!
The Giants put up over 400 yards of offense on your defense.

Dude 30 degress is BELOW FREEZING.

It wasn't raining that hard, at least the rain didn't seem to bother Eli Manning he didn't seem to have any problems letting the ball go.

Look Alex had 3 shots to make big plays, twice he didn't even throw the ball, the one time he did, he missed badly. None of that had anything to do with wind, he just missed the throw and choked on the other 2 and didn't take the chance.

Gifted fumble?

As I recall, those fumbles were forced by players stripping the ball out. That's not a gift. That's good defense.

What did Alex do to win the game? Oh that's right, he didn't. YOU LOSE! YOU GET NOTHING!

Innocent until proven guilty.

More than twice the legal limit.

Smith was swerving before his DUI arrest

Aldon Smith was observed swerving in and out of lanes on the MacArthur Causeway in Miami Beach before being pulled over at 4:33 a.m. Saturday, a police spokesman said. Smith was taken to the Miami Beach Police Station where he was given two beathalyzer tests to determine his blood-alcohol level. The first was .194. The second was .176. The legal limit in Florida is .08.

According to the police report, other drivers had to brake abruptly to avoid hitting the red Mercedes Benz Smith, 22, was driving as he left the City of Miami Beach on the causeway. The officer who wrote the report said he turned on his emergency lights but Smith did not repond. The officer then turned on his sirens, at which point Smith pulled over, according to the report.

Still innocent. He's gonna get off with reckless driving instead.
