No. The path is to build around Murray.

He made the offense instantly better. He makes Fitz better, Kirk better, and DJ better. He makes players around him better. You can believe that Solar7.

The path is to keep him healthy, build a championship O line, and continue to upgrade the other skill positions.

And, of course, do something about the defense.

Then we start crushing teams.

You with me?
He makes Fitz better, who is about to retire and will need to be replaced, he makes DJ... "better," I guess, because meh so far...

I'm afraid this is a tailor made situation to ruin the kid's confidence.

I still don't see it, but I hope you're right. There's some bright spots, but are there enough?

Hope you're right!

you can’t know this. No one can. He’s a part—with Kingsbury, an entirely new coaching staff, and an offense that replaced like 8 starters.

If you have to build around Murray the same way you would build around Dak Prescott or Andy Dalton, what’s the point??

I’m most disappointed that the defense wasn’t able to maintain its quality from last year. I think Peterson will make a significant difference when he comes back and proves the haters wrong. I hope that Markus Golden didn’t make that much of a difference.

If we had this year’s offense and last year’s defense, we’d be a playoff team.

kerouac9, of the eleven offensive players on a football field, which one is the most important? Which one is the most responsible for the success or failure of this unit?

The moment the supremely talented QB Murray stepped on to the turf at State Farm Stadium, he made our offense much better. Coaching has helped however, I do agree with you 1000% in that regard.

And I didn't mean that we have to build around Murray to prop him up. We build around him because he's a franchise cornerstone-type player.

That last sentence of your post is such a gut punch. This defense looked so hopeless on Sunday. We're giving up 30 points a game so far this year, and I can't convince myself that PP coming back is going to be able to turn the tide.

The assumption that KM is a franchise cornerstone player is a big leap.A very long way to go.I realize CW is blatantly biased so his KM homerism is expected.

I just want to bring back the days of "yeah, we are winning games but I don't like the words and attitude of my head coach Bruce" days.

Of course a franchise QB is important. Calling him "supremely talented" up to this point is ridiculous. He had one good quarter and OT in game one, a ton of passing yards but no scores in game two, and in game 3, put up an interesting performance that still has a historically low yards per completion.

I respect your enthusiasm but thus far, he's up and down. Which is fine, but I gotta tell ya man, it's grating to hear you call him a "franchise cornerstone-type player" three games into the season when he just plainly hasn't been. It's why it's so tough to deal with the saccharine-sweet love for the guy.

If you’re going to give him the lions share of the credit for the offense, you have to give him the lions share of the blame when he and the offense stinks.

In Week 1, Murray was the third-worst QB in the league.
In week 2, he was 14th, but was 3-for-14 converting third and fourth down.
He was the worst quarterback in football last week according to FO.

We have no wins! It’s too early for victory laps. Watching Murray scamper around in the first half was awesome and the most fun I’d had as a Cardinals fan since Blaine Gabbert got revenge on the Jags.

People need to ignore counting stats this season. Across the board. Look at the efficiency. All those yards and so few points...
