Ok... my major question here has to do with salary and the role that plays in determining compensation...
Plummer signed for $40 million over 6 years with $12 million signing bonus
Boston signed for 7 years $42 million with a $6 million signing bonus....
Based on what I thought I was reading.. it looked liked you offset qualifying players based on their salaries that they signed for... if that is the case.....One of these salaries should offset the salaries of all the guys we signed almost.... leaving us with down 1 qualified guy making almsot $6 million a year..
Maybe I am offbase somewhere but that is how I looked at the info....on here

This is the key im my opinion... you lose the two top players at their positions in free agency....
I think we can argue these guys were considered substantially better than the guys we signed based on the experts opinions when they entered the free agency period
