Before i explain the problem if it matters bought the parts to my comp and had someone put it togther for me. Now i have had it for some time about 2 years. My comp often restarts randomly. I'm not sure what the problem is, I have posted many times on several forums trying to fix it. Now im wondering if anyone down here in AZ can help me fix it if they know about comps and maybe we can like work it out. I'm not sure what else to do. I'm only 17 soi wouldn't have much money for you to look at it ;x I would take it to like a shop or something but there expensive just to have them figure out the problem. If you can help please let me know

I can like just take my computer in there? Wouldn't it cost some money for them to do that?

I was just kidding. Your best bet is to pick someone's brain on this site, or detail what's going on and then go into Best Buy on a slow day and ask a tech for some basic help. They'll be more than pleased to help you, especially if they think it'll lead to a future purchase...

What operating system are you running? I just fixed this exact issue like 2 weeks ago on a server, but if you are running XP the issue could be the same

Before we all start throwing out answers can you tell us what you have done? Have you reset the CMOS, have you updated the BIOS, what does it say in the event log, can you boot into safe mode

have you done this:
Right click My Computer and select properties then click the advanced tab
Click the Settings button in the startup and recovery area.
Under System Failure UNcheck the box that says Automatically Restart

Check the power supply at the back of the computer.
If it is hot it may be overheating. If the fan is worn out it may overheat and shut down.

Make sure you clean the dust out from time to time, it can act as an insulator.

How many watts is your power supply? It may not be powerful enough to run that rig. Some of the newer video cards are power hogs
