going in to the fourth quarter down by less than a TD I KNEW not hoped , not guessed but knew we would win. This team just play at a different level in the fourth quarter. A play needed to be made and 3 of them happened.

This is different than any other Cardinal team I have followed. Different than the Super Bowl team--where we prayed they would have a big lead in the fourth and hold on.

I have so much confidence and faith in this team--both players and coaches.

I'm not as confident as you but I have an overall sense of calmness. Not saying I knew we would win but I felt good about our chances. When CP went down I was bummed and the 40 + years of being a fan of the Cardiac Cards did bring in thoughts of doom and gloom. Honestly, how many fans said to themselves, it's all good, next man up, Stanton is the man?

After a couple of minutes and Stanton completing 3 passes in a row with a 50 yd TD bomb to Smokey many of us have let our brains talk us into Stanton will be good enough that we can still will games and maybe even get to and win the SB. This may be the case but it's more than battered Cards Fan syndrome. How many teams have won the SB with their 2nd string QB? Hostetler with the Giants and Doug Williams with the Redskins and of course Warner with the Rams. Any others?

Love this team and BASK and Michael, what a story if we actually pull it off.

Excellent post Zeno could not agree more. In past years it was almost like once the Cards got down the game was over. Not anymore this team is legit. They are fun to watch and I can't wait to see them in the playoffs.

i was pretty devastated when Palmer went down, but got totally brought back to life (obviously) with Stanton and the second we took the lead, I KNEW we weren't going to lose. Fourth quarter confidence is a whole new ball of wax for me... and I like it.

I think I said something like "Stanton baby... FTW" right after Palmer went down. :D

Keep calm, it's the 4th quarter.

Keep calm, we're the Cardinals.

I was watching the game with my friend Keesh (who's even more of a darksider then I am... yes, it's possible) and watching us pull this one off AGAIN, we both convinced ourselves that no matter what happens, this team has a shot to go to the Super Bowl.

that's the kind of confidence Arians has given me. It's so freaking weird to be winning in a fourth quarter and not hoping and praying that we can hang on, but BELIEVING we will.

Not saying there weren't some of you but I'm betting most Cards fans were a bit more than concerned. I do commend you for your positive attitude, you could be a team captain for BA's Cardinals.

Like cheese was saying, this team has gotten me to believe and expect victory these days, and it's fun. Intensity is crazy, other teams just can't hang.

I'm with you right up until CP goes down with the ACL injury. I'm feeling fine, yes a bit nervous but not NJCardfan or Bullheadfan kinda fretting, not even close. I'm like 90% sure we will win the game, until CP goes down.

Was I shocked that Stanton came in and gave us the lead and then the D puts the game away, NO. I'm just not completely drunk on the koolaide as you and Zeno. I shouldn't be driving but I'm not wasted. :D

I literally just emailed similar sentiments to my dad, who was also watching. I should be freaking out about Palmer but I'm not. Stanton looked OK when he played. We already won two games with him under center.

Even with Palmer, it's hardly like this team was relying on scoring 40 a game through the air in order to win. This isn't like the Broncos minus Manning.

I'm certainly not happy and I'd rather have Palmer than Stanton, but as long as Stanton keeps the Golden Rule (no turnovers) I think we will continue to win games. Plus his mobility might actually be an asset against some of these teams with ferocious pass rushes. Am I nuts?

probably... but I'm there with ya and couldn't care less.

for once, I'd rather be nuts then realistic. it's more fun this way.

Ha ha!

I had a sickening feeling we were going to lose this game going into the 4th. I wasn't sure if they were going to pull it off or not as the offense wasn't moving the ball. Once the bomb to Smokey happened, the feeling went of away!

The crazy thing is that no ones talk about Fitz's big day. He had 112 yards receiving today. I am afraid with Stanton out there, those big days are over as Stanton just can't seem to get the ball to Fitz. Hope that changes. We may see Floyd starting to get the big numbers again.

I was confident we were going to win once the defense got the stop following the CP interception. Though I didn't feel good about our chances right after the INT happened.

I never believed that Stanton was or is that bad of a QB. I truly believe he can take over the reigns and guide this offense to victories. He's not Palmer but then again he does have enough QB skills to run this offense the way BA wants to run it.
