11-3 with 'em, 11-3 without 'em.

It spoke volumes that Jonathan Cooper's name didn't come up once in Cardinals Underground Podcast yesterday, and the Cards' site has been eerily silent on the performance of their top draft pick in 2013, save for one sentence saying that he needed to get better.

Good to know Fanaika is feeling well enough to practice. It's possible Cooper wasn't going to play, anyway.

I have far less faith in Fanaika.

That's fine, but that faith isn't based on much evidence that Cooper's play is superior. Cooper played a lot during the Atlanta game, for example, and the results were not good.

 Fanaika had been a liability all year. I'm not interested in the cooper pissing matches.

I am disappointed he is on a bike and hope he can play. I think him on the field puts us in a better position to win now and through the playoffs.

I can't say, any more than I can say for sure that Cooper's insertion into the lineup was causal instead of correlative to the running game improving. What I can say is that Cooper played 40 snaps against Atlanta, and the running game was abysmal.

Cooper has shown the ability to do more, but Fanaika has the tendency to do what he does more consistently. Either way you are giving up something to get something else.

he played most of the snaps as tight end ,not his natural position
then he come to play guard when faniake got injured, but we were already far behind

The ground game has shown life since Cooper has been in, period. Larsen is the one that should be the odd man out. That guy is the real problem

While G Jonathan Cooper missed practice, G Paul Fanaika looks ready to return. #AZCardinals

this game is going to be so damn stressful. I am so confident and scared at the same time. Hold me batman hold me!

Agree with this. Larsen should be # 3.

You likely haven't been looking at the offenisve line as specifically as I have, but this is flat out wrong. You can argue that Larsen has been our 2nd best lineman behind Veldheer over the past two games at RG.

@AZCardinals Guard Ted Larsen graded out at -18.4 in his 12 starts at LG, +6.2 the last 2 games after he moved over to RG. @PFF

Yeah I just hope they don't move him back to left guard if Cooper can't go.

No... The ranking should be Veldheer, Massie, Sendlien and then Larson... If Larson would stop doing his Levi Brown & Leonard Davis impersonations and trying to earn the #75 jersey, I would rank him above Sendlien. ;)

I don't talk about should, I talk about is. I have re-watched the past two games in detail, and you are wrong. Also, I don't know what Levi Brown has to do with anything. He isn't in the league. I don't talk about him.

How many False Starts and Holding flags ahs Larson received over the past 2 games? 4 games?
I don't know... just seems to me that of all our linemen, he gets flagged the most...

I'm not completely bought into PFF's offensive line grading system, but I agree that there has been marked improvement. Whatever that point scale change means I don't know, but if 24 pts is a significant change, than it is accurate.

I don't know about watching the line play closely but when I watch games, more often than not when there is a drive killing penalty, it seems like Larsen is involved. Now, I don't know what the actual stats are for penalties or sack given up (I'm sure someone who has more time on their hands than me will bring it up). However, I always seem to see Larsen making a mistake at crucial times in drives.

That's pretty darn good. If you factor that number over the last 2 games into 16 games of play it would be +49.6 and that would be the best grade for an offensive lineman in the entire league. Also according to PFF he has had his 2 best run blocking games of the year in the last 2 games. That could be a big reason why our run game has gotten so much better, Larson moving to the right side.
