Newman, Jenkins and Pacman. 3 Solid CB's... I don't see a problem with having three at all.

EDIT: Keep in mind they are taking a risk with Pacman. They don't know if it'll work out.

No. Just the term BPA is WAY to subjective. Competely different form team to team and player to player. To hard to compare a T to a CB etc.......

It may be subjective, but clearly despite maybe needing a #2 WR, they valued Jenkins above others, despite maybe not needing another CB (as you pointed out) seems to indicate that BPA exists--subjective or otherwise.

And, IMO, it's how you build a good football team. Get players--with little regard to team needs--that you think are the best on the board.

If pacman gets arrested tomorrow they are down to three......it's as simple as that. newman will be a FA next season. the cowboys lost both BUP CB's from last season. when you play against teams like INDY and NE you need to have more than 2 CB's. the cowboys might need another WR....but considering where all of the WR's are being picked compared with those top notch CB's.........you see they would of made a foolish error in that regard. the young WR's on the current team can help the cowboys as well.

If thats the logic then IMO you dont trade for pac man. No need to have that much money wrapped up in CB's 4 top flight CB's 2 of which are gonna be covering for the most part not very good WR's. Its overkill IMHO.

the last 3 seasons anthony henry has missed significant amount of playing time. newman was injured last year. newman will be a FA next year. the weakness of the cowboys defense was their coverage in paticular with their 3rd and 4th DB's in nickel packages. they need guys who can cover......smart move by the cowboys filling a need taking the BPA. rather than drafting a WR (who won't play anytime soon)20 picks too high. it's not rocket science IMO. it's not uncommon for the cowboys to have 3 or 4 CB's on the field at anytime during the game. especially in nickel or prevent situations. those were areas of concern.....see the giants game when NY scored the ball in like 30 secs.

having too many is good not bad.....the cowboys would have overkill at just about every position truthfully.....in regards to this season. that's just the reality of it. and you can never have too many CB's
