Third best road record in the league as well. Now if we could ever beat the Sharks...

Wow. Been watching this BS Sharks game all night until the Coyotes get royally screwed on penalties in the 3rd. NHL refs really suck.

quit committing penalties

fun hockey though - this series is developing some nastiness

gretzky freaking out because the defender brought his stick down at the same time the offensive player was lifting his stick - just showed it clear as day in HD that there should of been no penalty there

also that roughing call was right on - ballard dropped an atomic elbow on the guy in front of the goal and then gave him 2 shots when he was down

roenick should of been off as well on the scrum, but that one dude deserved the extra time for jumping in to a separate incident - if he would of manned up against roenick they both would of been off and all the penalty time would of evened out

that penalty they're calling on McLaren was a lot lighter than the one on ballard - still a penalty though and a good call

god these announcers are painful - how can you say carsillo was guilty of being 3rd man in and roenick was guilty of fighting (against carcillo) but that carcillo shouldn't get the extra penalty

it wouldn't even out - should of been fighting calls on both and then 3rd man in as an additional

goaltending has been sick

Bryzgalov is a beast - the games have become a lot closer since he's joined in

Game had a happy ending. Nice goal by the Doaner and Mueller scores in the shoot out.

Regarding the penalties. Roenick should have also received a 5 minute fighting. I agree with 3rd man in on Carcillo, but the Sharks should have had one extra fighting penalty on Roenick to even it out.

When you have a tight low-scoring game, I don't agree with giving one team a 5 minute major powerplay when the scrum was mutual.

if you agree with 3rd man in on Carcillo and fighting on roenick the question remains who was JR fighting with?

carcillo made a poor decision jumping into someone elses scrum and his superman fly on top ended up injuring himself as well

emotional game so I understand - but you have to remain smarter and take you shot later in the game

he should of just tied up with JR and the whole thing would of washed

honestly even with him jumping in I would of been happy with the whole thing washing out as it was just a little scrum - nothing really that major going on - sharks protecting their goalie, coyotes protecting their teamates - it's hockey

but they have the rule there, just like the instigator so this is what you get

Bernier should have gotten a match penalty for swinging his stick around in the brawl, even the San Jose announcers commented on how bad that disgrace was.

you got the SJ feed? - was it HD? - i couldnt' find their in HD so I had to watch the yotes

i know i'm a homer, but aside from couple of the canadian broadcast teams they are by far my favorite to listen to call a game

the predators are some of the most painful

oh, alright

i have the centre ice package and FSN Bay Area is horrible with HD broadcasts - sucks because HD makes 100x difference with hockey

I thought for sure Bryz was going to stop Linden for the game winner. Oh well, good effort and a great turnout as well, but they need to keep the momentum going after that 5-1 roadtrip.

Jagr is awesome. The Coyotes should pull the trigger on whatever the deal is unless it involves Meuller.

Kyle Turris is having a solid World Junior Championship, scoring both of Canada's goals in a 2-0 shutout against Slovakia.

They're probably the most frustrating team in hockey. They won four in a row then immediately lost four in a row. Now they follow up on winning five out of six by dropping three in a row. It also doesn't help that they are the worst home team in the NHL, with a 5-10-1 home record.

Kyle Turris had another two goals today for Canada, as they beat Denmark 4-1 at the WJCs.

Two nice back-to-back wins against Colorado brings the Coyotes back to .500 with a 19-18-1 record.

The Coyotes are 6-3-1 in their last 10 games and I'm really looking forward to attending the Blackhaws game tonight. Toews is out with injury, but Kane will play for the Blackhawks. Let's hope the Coyotes seek some revenge from that last game in Chicago.

Nice win tonight against the Blackhawks. Coyotes are 20-18-1 with three games in hand and 4 points behind the 8th place Ducks.

Win 2 out of the next 3 and they will be in a playoff spot.

Best play of the night against the Blackhawks: Rookie Daniel Winnik dancing behind the Blackhawk net with the puck, buying enough time for the Coyotes to complete their line change then dishing it off to a charging Weller who fires it into the net. Most rookies simply don't have that kind of poise or vision, well done by Winnik.

Second best play of the night: Ballard knocking Skille stupid with a beautiful open ice hip check. Now if he could only rediscover his offensive touch.

It was also great to see all three members of the VHS line finding their way onto the scoresheet. Vrbata picked up another goal and an assist, as did Hanzal, and Sjostrom added the final goal. Vrbata is now on pace to hit nearly 40 goals and 70 points this season. Should he hit 40, which is no certainty, he would be the first Coyote since Keith Tkachuk to do so. At 26 years old he should be in his prime for the next couple seasons. He is a free agent at the end of the season, you would have to believe he is Maloney's biggest priority right after Bryzgalov.
