Back in Arizona!!!
I think Palmer will throw for 5300 yards and 34 TD's this year.

When ANY Cardinal coach gets us to another SB, you can re-open your pie hole. If Whiz had a real GM, things could have been much different. My biggest criticism of Whisenhunt was his reluctance to get rid of Grimm. But then again, Arians LOVES Grimm too! I'm optimistic more because of Keim than anything. For all we know, Arians as a HC may be as big a blowhard as Buddy Ryan was.
I live in PHX too.. I think your lying to me.. I don't know one Cards fan here losing their mind for Palmer.. It is what it is.. We all feel it is an upgrade.. But to say he is Warner reincarnated is just silly talk..
Im in the streets.. Talking to real people face to face.. Not on the CPU..
Do people in the streets even watch tv?
What a hilarious comment. Awesome. People in the streets arent sold on Palmer. LOL.
I find it funny when I talk to "people in the streets" and how uninformed they are compared to here. Funny to compare them.
Oddly enough, sometimes I find it funny to talk to people here and how uninformed they are compared to "people in the streets.
Lol - I run into people bringing up that jamarcus russel is trying out and am like dude, that was a false rumor 3 months ago.

Why would you laugh? He had a tryout with the Bears this year and is looking to catch on with someone.
Here is how I look at it.
Carson Palmer is the most experienced QB in the division and has the most success so far. He is also the oldest and has to play against three very good defenses.
Palmer come swith the edge of having Larry Fitzgerald to throw the ball to which no other nFC West team can say. That being said, his other weapons are unproven and his line is suspect.
Palmer has as much potential to perform as well as any other QB in this division, but he also has to overcome the most questions marks when concerning his supporting cast.
I understand that all the preseason hype wil surround Kaepernick & Wilson, but Palmer's numbers will easily surpass anyone in the NFCW. I will go out on a limb & say that Palmer will make the Pro Bowl this year. Obviously, the Niners & Hags have very good squads, but I really, really think that Kaepernick & Wilson will take a step backwards this year. The Cardinals will fly under the radar & CP will throw for 4500 yds & 30 tds! We may not make the playoffs, but we'll be on the cusp. Our Offense will surprise many. I really don't see our D taking a step backwards. If we can get to the playoffs, we can be a threat.

Agreed.
There is no doubt that today Palmer is the best QB in the division. His stats and experience say it all. It's all about how our line holds up. If they protect him and open holes in the running game he will do as good or better than he has in the past. Wilson and Colin have only played one season, granted they had really good seasons but they haven't proven they are hear to stay. Even Derek Anderson had a pro bowl season?? Carson has proved he is an NFL QB and a legit one. Defenses figure players out, and I can see that being especially problematic for Colin. And as far as Bradford I was really high on him and wanted us to draft him really bad but he's on a prove it year and quite frankly I'm not so sure about him anymore.
The difference is those teams have good lines, good running games and good defenses. If we have those we can go as far as Palmer will take us
Agreed.

getting him for peanuts says more IMO. Seriously, if Palmer was really as good as you say, I'm guessing someone out there would have given up more then a 7th round pick for him.

I disagree to some extent--there weren't many teams needing a starting QB as bad as we do. Out of those teams who do, we're the only team without a legitimate young player we can groom. For example, Tannehill probably won't be stellar this year for Miami, but he's someone you can groom for the position. We don't really have anyone, in my opinion, at that level, someone you can groom to be the QBOTF. There are other teams, Jacksonville for example, who are in a bind, but they need more than just a QB (and an old one at that). I really believe it was pure luck with regards to the timing and the fact that Palmer basically fell into our lap.
Palmer also has some say in where he plays, and he's shown in the past he's willing to sit or retire if he's going to play for a bad team. At this stage in his career, I think he was coming here regardless of who needed him--hard to believe, but we just have more pieces in place than some of those other rosters needing a QB. His price was "peanuts" to us, but may not have been for some more desperate teams. His price probably wasn't the same for us as it would be for a Jacksonville or whomever. His price for us was a white flag saying, "This is my last chance, I'm yours."
(I should add: we needed more than just a starting QB. We need a vet due to our offensive line and our lack of a running game. A rook wouldn't cut it, only someone with massive experience can start for us at this point. He is so ideal, given that. Once the line gets settled, once we get even an average running game, then we can look at throwing rooks behind center)

"Carson Palmer-Led Arizona Cardinals Will Make History, Have Top-10 Offense in 2013" - so says Shaun Church.

I like the optimism, and agree to the extent that the upgrade at QB is enormous, coupled with help on the OL and at least the potential for an improved RB corps and coaching.
