This sounds crazy however since we are throwing out radical ideas (draft all QBs) I thought I would toss this one out.

Acquire Flynn from Seattle to play QB, then hire one of the offensive position coaches from Green Bay who knows the GB offense as the new OC and install the GB offense in AZ.

Flynn looked good running that offense so it may have played to his strengths and getting someone from GB who understands how that offense works and install it in AZ may be a possible solution to our woes on the offensive side of the ball. They have a poor Oline and still can score points. They are pass happy and have a good set of receivers so we already have the skill set in place here.

The thought process seems a little backward to me..

I would start by identifying the right coach who can lead your team to long-term success, and then have him identify which QB he wants to lead his offense. In this scenario, you are basically starting with getting Flynn and then hiring a coach to try to fit his talents.

And let's not forget that the GB talent has a lot to do with the GB offense. If you would have instead said "and then let's hire one of the Miami assistants who worked with Flynn and install Joe Philbin's Dolphins offense in AZ", that wouldn't have quite the same ring to it.

Not so fast. Latest out of Jets country is that both Sanchez and Tebow are likely to be gone.

Which means they will probably be competing with us for any QB on the open market (which would logically include Flynn).

Sanchez and Tebow are not QBs, so I do not see how they could compete in the open market :D
Re-read my post - it had nothing to do with Sanchez's and Tebow's future once released and everything to do with the Jets possibly competing with us for Flynn or any other decentt QB.

I know, I was just being a smart arse...it is the only thing keeping me going as a Cardinal fan during this frustrating season LOL

What I was assuming was Flynn is only one year removed from GB so I figured the coaching staff there was still intact and combining what Flynn already knows about the GB offense with a coach from there that knows Flynn to some extent and the offense Flynn learned while at GB. Trying to put two and two together so it would click right from the start.

Sort of like reinserting Flynn right back into the offense he learned at GB. Now the rest of the offense would have to learn it however as we all know the QB has to know every bodies assignment so the learning curve for the QB is already at some higher level.

This would work well if we somehow acquired Rivers and Turner too.

Tell us what is different in acquiring Flynn compared to acquiring Kolb?

He got beat out by a rookie, he has never proven anything in this league. The thought of giving up assets to trade for someone like Flynn is terrible.

Matt Flynn is not someone you can trust to be your starter. If he was a FA you could give it a try and sign him but trading for him has high potential to blow up in your face just like trading for Kolb did.

The Cards need to draft a QB and sign a veteran, not give away draftpicks and more to get another unproven QB.

He showed the ability to run the GB offense when he had his chances there. I believe you could also get him on the cheap from Seattle. Probably a 5th or 6th round choice. The offense Carroll runs in Seattle is quite different than what they run in GB. I don't see the Cardinals being able to get a Rivers or a Romo and a guy like Sanchez is just as big a risk as Flynn.

You certainly don't want Vick or Tebow. Your only other choice is to draft one and there are no locks in this draft.
