Had a better year and is way more more consistent than PP21. I love the guy.

Cro is fool's good. He was one of the worst rated corners in the league last year but the signing was hyped because of name recognition alone. He'll make a nice play once in a while because he's experienced and athletic. Also as much grief as PP gets for his tackling at least he tries. PP is a bad tackler but he's physical. Cro is neither and teams know it and run that way (bring back DRC memories eh?).

I guess production doesn't mean all that much anymore?

I think he's the right type of CB to play opposite PP because teams are going to throw at him and he'll make big plays, but he gambles too much and he's so afraid of contact it s funny.

I doubt he'll be back because he doesn't see himself as a complementary player.

I think PP is going to have a fabulous year next year. All year they hinted at stuff PP was dealing with and never told us, I have no idea what it is, but I doubt it will be a factor next year and he'll be great.

I actually want to see if Bethel can finally earn playing time with the regular defense. Johnson has improved every year but he is still so frustrating. I think teh D would be better if Bethel can convert that athletiticsm into consistent production as a DB

Teams throw at Peterson all the time and he doesn't make make big plays. When was the last time Peterson actually made a big play?? It's been about 2 months.

D, I can't argue with your premise... I think the eye test alone tells us that Cro had a more "productive" year and that this season was a sub-par season (that's being kind) for PP21. But I don't think PP21 gets thrown at as much as Cro. I think Cro benefited from having more opportunities to make big plays.
That said, PP21 had more than his share of opportunities to make those plays and way too infrequently, he didn't.

I have to believe PP21 knows this in his soul and that 2015 will be a much improved season. If not, we have some serious issues on our hands at the CB position as I highly doubt Cro will be back with us....

Always appreciate your opinion 82! Luv ya buddy!!

I really don't think that Cro had more opportunities to make big plays yet he consistently made them. PP21 was thrown at more often and just flat out did not make the plays. Against C. Johnson and D. Bryant (Weeden throwing to him) Peterson was awesome. Outside of those two games what did he really do?? @ ATL was pretty damn ugly. ALL of his INTs this year came against the Rams. Austin Davis, Shaun Hill...

Cro was ugly in the Falcon game too, surrendering just one less reception and one hundred yards to a lesser receiver than Jones

Cro - YOU GET RESPECT!

PP7 - you nothing but a 'was' ..you got your contract...suck from it....you are a shell of the player you could have been.

I know PP admired Sanders..right now PP couldn't hold Sanders jock

With all the problems Cro and PP had, our defensive position we put them in with Bowles' scheme and a lack of a speed rusher really did not help them one bit

OK well then assuming all things things were the same in he regular season, who showed up in the playoff game? Cro was the better performer in 2014/2015.

I like Cro and PP both actually, and want Cro back for the record... I do not have a problem with them or Powers, but the Honey Badger had a ton of goofs and nobody ever seemed to point a finger :)

Cro had a great close to the '11-'12 season and continued with excellent production in '12-'13. He did have a down year last season where he struggled with injury. And actually Cro didn't do that bad a job of tackling this season save a time or two. No worse than PP. I wouldn't say his signing was name recognition only. He's been a fairly productive corner throughout his career.

Much luv back at us D...

And I can't defend PP... The points you've made are spot on and honestly, I've felt the same way all year. Actually got into a debate with a few on this board a few weeks ago on this topic and my position was pretty where yours is.
Just gotta hope PP uses this as a massive learning season and puts up an epic year in 2015...
Happy New Year bro...

Cro has shown himself to be a terrific CB2 and a lousy CB1. He's in the perfect spot here, and I'd love to find a way to get him back.
Sanders might have a tougher time playing on a team that doesn't have any pass rush (ie: not the 90's Cowboys or 49ers) and with the new rules that flag you if you blink too hard.
