Awesome. 8 more wins. :D I looooove this team. It's been great seeing them get over their slumps throughout the season and make it so far.

What a great feeling... Cubs get swept out of the playoffs, D-Backs advance in the playoffs - and both happened in the same series!

SCREW the East-Coast, Big city media! I can't wait to play the Rockies and then face Cleveland in the World Series... Boston and New York can suck my toes.

Nice article, as East Coast Articles go. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/playoffs2007/columns/story?columnist=stark_jayson&id=3052284

"Let me tell you something," left fielder Eric Byrnes said as the Piper-Heidsieck bubbly flowed, literally, down his face. "We won this series. The Cubs didn't lose it."

And how right he was. That might not be how the ivy-lovers of Illinois will see it. But he couldn't have been more dead-on.

The Diamondbacks were the team that forced the action, got every big hit for three games and kept on making difference-making pitches and difference-making defensive plays from Game 1 through Game 3.

I think the next series should have a thread for each game....I don't want to go through over 30 pages for the next thread.

What was it like at the game? Man, being at Wrigley watching the Dbacks sweep had to be out-stand-ing.

we were sitting ten rows up, right behind home plate, basically with 50 other D-Backs family/friends/owners seats... with security in case anyone screwed with us... in a word... it's was AWESOME.

Seriously, that place was going BONKERS when Livan loaded the bases and Derossa came up with one out - just freaking nuts... then we got ANOTHER double play and as the entire stadium sat down, the 40 of us jumped into the air.

People HATED us. It was great.

Also, I sat next to the third base coach's wife - pretty damn hot MILF and pretty cool also. Had a really good time talking and cheering with her all game long.

basically, it was about as phenomenal an experience as a D-Backs fan could possibly have.

My favorite part was after the game though. Me and my friend went to Al's to get a couple Italian Beefs to make ourselves REALLY sick and we walked in there and all the cub fans were just pissed and I heard my favorite comment:

They couldn't even give us one pitch to get excited about!? Not one freaking pitch!

Chris Young's the man - he ended that series with his lead-off HR. It sucked ALL the air out of the stadium.

like I said, phenomenal experience. beyond words.
